Just throwing this out there, do you think furries would be cool in real life? I really like how they look in anime, but in real life i think it would be really strange. A basic person covered in fur? I would not like to see somone look like this: http://www.wolfsongalaska.org/graphics/ ... gen200.gif

That would be plain ol' creepy, though if we did grow up with them it wouldnt, i dunno, whater all your other opinions?

LOL well thats hair if I remember correctly and lays differently then fur. also looks different then fur. When I find the picture of the person That I saw that was dressed up as a fur. I mean it was good hollywood style type of makeups of today so the fake.(yes fake fur she's an animal lover and would never hurt a real animal for it's fur like that) oh god it looked so good. I mean really really good.

Noes.

Anime furries=fine. I have no problem.

Real furries=Dear God, could you even imagine the beginning of the Civil Rights suits? We had enough problems proving Black people weren't sub-human. How the heck are we going to explain how half-animals are equal to humans?

The thing is, everyone thinks they're a lot more tolerant and liberal than they really are. Believe me, I've talked with plenty of supposedly tolerant, sensitive liberals, and the second they hear I'm a Christian the tolerance goes away, and gets replaced with this propoganda stating my religion is causing me to oppress people, like the starving children in Africa I donate to my church for. (And they do pay to those kids, I do know for sure, BTW.)

Anyways, so no one's as tolerant or un-racist as they'd like to think. And two things happen when a community is abused- One, they are incredibly lucky enough to have a guy like Martin Luther King Jr. come along and fix things- or two, they degrade, become xenophobic, blah blah downhill blah hell in a handbasket blah blah excuse for genocide for some crazy nutter blah.

NO, NO, NO. If there were from the beginning of the human race, and we agreed to be together in peace early on, fine. We probably wouldn't be as excited as we are now, Familiarity breeding contempt and all that. (Not that we'd hate 'em- we just wouldn't be as nuts about 'em.) So it's kind of a lose-lose situation that no one's really going to think through.

You can't just have the parts of "real" you want, and exclude the others. That's kind of what having a grasp on objective reality's about.

Now someone tell my internet to stop lagging.

~(\/)(~

~EDIT: Took out inflammatory stuff I didn't really mean.

Would fur on humanoids be really logical? think of a hot tropical summers day, in fur... You can go swimming cause you'll stink up a storm, either. I would get real frustrated down here in florida : \

winter coats and summer coats, thats what they're for  although if it happened to someone spontaneously, then yes, I imagine it would be really hot in the summer.

Dogs sure don't seem to be bothered with how much they stink after they've gone for a swim. I'm pretty sure you'd consider the smell to be normal. You wouldn't even notice it if you were a furry.

Well that guy is covered in hair, furries would have fur. But yeah it would look kind of creepy, but only because its not normal for them to be there.

Now now, don't pretend it doesn't go the other way either, because it does. I've met many supposedly tolerant, sensitive Christians who, the second they hear I or someone is gay, immediately become intolerant, mean, and sometimes downright hateful, and begin spewing propaganda that gays are pedophiles made by Satan. It DOES go both ways.

Humans have blubber to retain heat, so a furry would only be overheated in he had both fur and fat.

yes they would if you think of it that way scalfin. but they would lose certain things while gaining others. so if they had fur the blubber may become thin like in other animals. yes all animals have fat just not as much as humans. with certain exceptions
