I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I've been waiting for this movie for months. If you haven't seen this yet, go deserve to be shot. It's that good. The Maelstrom scene by itself is enough to justify buying a ticket. It makes up for every flaw in the first and second movies (which were very good in their own right), but it is hard to follow if you haven't been keeping up with the plot.

And if you have seen this, I have a quick question.

(Little/No spoilers)

During the raising of the colors, did anyone else notice that one of the pirate lords had a flag identical to that of the Queen Anne's Revenge, captained by none other than Blackbeard? The flag shows a skeleton holding a spear next to a heart. If anyone notices this, please tell me I'm not crazy.

I hated the second movie. I hated this movie. And the only thing worth seeing WAS the ship battle at the end. It can't get much worse than this. In case you didn't wait around till the end of the credits, you should look up the little special ending scene.

Yeah, the scene at the end is worth watching. The credits are kind of long and unnecessary, though. They even listed the "drivers"...

What I must say, is that I certainly hope that they don't make a fourth movie. It's perfect the way it is, and I'm afraid that if they tried to make another movie, it would whomp and just give the whole series a bad name.

Anyway. In my opinion, I loved the second one. I liked it better than the first. And, I liked this third one better than the second.

Sorry, but no, I didn't notice that, Kuu.

I really recommend this movie. Of course, after seeing the other two.

I didn't care for it. I thought it was a great movie, but if you want me to compare it with the first two...theres no competition, the first two are far better. This one seemed to be all about special effects, which most of I didn't care for...it was mainly explosions. The story was so insanely confusing that It actually made me angry at the movie. It doesn't help that It's been so long since I've seen the others that I've basically forgotten some critical stuff. Davey Jones didn't actually have much of a role this time, and it was just overflowing with so many characters, stories, and back stories that It was just far to confusing. It just does not compare with the pirates who turn skeleton in the moonlight, and Davey Jones and the Kraken. I'm very much disappointed.

I haven't seen the third yet, but I'm thinking a good rule of thumb might be that if you could generally follow the plot of 2001, you'll be alright.

I found it to be considerably better than the second movie. (Which I didn't really care for. :? )

It's length couldn't exactly be helped with the amount of story that took place over the course of the movie. It was still a tad on the long side though.

Loved it. Just was a lil bit too.. stuffed for my taste. I mean they kept running like 3 storylines without really putting the focus right... kinda the same like in the new Spiderman if you ask me. Hm.. anyway. Loved the first one and hated the second one. Third was a nice finish in my opinion, though I'd say there's a 90% change that they'll continue it. Just hope it's going to be more like a spin-off than grabbing up the old story again.

My guess is (that if they do another trilogy) that they will focus more on Sparrow's past. I really want to know what made him all....tipsy. Also, what happened to his parents. They might try to tie it in with the fountain of youth- who knows.

Not much happened to his parents, their in the third one... well his dad is in it, and his mum's shrunken head is in it, but i do want to understand what made that happen. (Sorry if that's what you meant)
