Hello all ^.^...okay, i started reading these books, in the "wildcards" series...and i really liked the way they were written, so i wan't to make a topic in the story board, with the same thingymicbob (sorry, im finding it difficult to explain today XP), and i wanted to make sure that it would be okay....

So the whole thing (for those of you who havnt read this fascinating and wonderful series) is that the person who created the series wrote the first chapter....and it basically set everything in motion..After that each chapter was written by a different author and each author created a character and wrote about him for a chapter, then it went to another author, sometimes one author would write about one character a couple of times ( though never two chapters in a row) and yeah...

Im thinking that if we did this, it might encourage some people to start writing, and that we would collect some very good critisim, and it would gennerally make the whole writing community for the story board a little more tight knit, thats my hope so far...

what i want also is the following...

1) i would write the first chapter, setting the setting, and it would be pretty wide based, but i might take some time for me to get it together, as i want it to be intresting...

2) there would be a second topic for people who wanted to critisize each others work..

3) i was thinking about some different things as for deciding who writes next, i thought of tagging but i decided we might not circulate the authors enough by doing that.. and i was also thinking about another forum in which people post that they want to write next, and i would compose a list, and it would go down the list, every one would get a turn basically..

4) i would need some help, im hoping i can get kell to help me with it, though i would still like someone else for some additional help, ( if me and kell both can't update and so forth)...

Thats all right now, and i posted this to make sure that it would be okay with the forum admin's and such and such, if you like the idea then feel free to pm me with suggestions and so forth, i will wait for an admin to tell give me the go ahead before posting, and admin's im guessing there are some limitations to this so please tell me them if you are willing to let me try this out...

I kind of skimmed through and it sounds like the stickied multi-author threads from three years ago. It sounded like a good idea but I guess there wasn't enough interest back then.

I hope that's not the case this time around. It'd be nice to see the story board more active.

Well my hope is that we can get people who don't normally post in the thread to start being active members of it, just because you can write about any character, and it doesn't have to be a long thing, you only have to write one chapter, or you can write multiple you like to do so...

and yeah, the story board needs more traffic.

That is basically what the multi author stickies were. I'd love it if we could get one going again.

If I had extra time I'd go for it. No guarantees though.

I'll help with organization, maybe do a chapter or two on weeks I don't have much to do.

0.o....man, im gonna try and keep EVERYONE to the list thing...i would rather an organized system over a chaotic just write when you feel like it kinda thing...

its cool..if you think you will have time to write on a week, i'll put you on the list....or you could just write when you have time, pm me and then just update when it gets to your turn, or pm me the story and ill post it saying that it is yours when it gets around to you ^.^

Just as a precautionary statement. any time there is a "meh" or ">_>" option in a poll, I usually always pick it =P



I'd love to contribute, if I could find the time. Sounds like fun.

Cool, thanks guys, it won't be for a little while...mainly because im not actually supposed to be online right now...my step mother says the comp has a virus...EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T....but whatever,...i won't tell if you wont....so yeah, ill write it up and post it within a week or so, but i won't be on much for a little while =P....cya...

Oh, i will still be on steam, and playing games, for all yall that wanna play with me or whatever, because "the virus only affects the internet browser" :roll:

As for themes im thinking huge galactic war about 200 years from now...started by different ways, and it i'll keep it as original as possible...

I'll post the first chapter and ask if everyone wants to write in that kind of setting, and if people are cool with it, then I'll keep it that way, if you guys have suggestions, post em,i probably won't use them, but if i find one i REALLY like i might go for it.
