I've been thinking about how people have things like 'Templar' and 'traveler' undernethe thier names. What exactly do these mean (ie does it relate to how long you've been on the forum) and if you can change it how do you?

What do the membership things mean? "user groups"

hehehe
well it DOES say ask anything... :D

It's pretty simple actaully; it depends on the ammount of posts you've made, I'm sure a Mod will be able to give you the exact figures. These titles usaully relate directly to the Twokinds story; templar, merchant etc.

As for for some of the stranger titles e.g. grammer nazi. is bestowed apon members by (I believe) admin, you can't change your title yourself.

They are a title Granted by your post count. Normally this means you have been around for some time- for others- it means they just spam a lot- some people have special titles though. But dont expect one for a while-- you have to stand out to get one-- which could be good or bad... I havent decided on one yet...

PS - Dont PM Admins asking for a new title- theres an 80% chance you will annoy them greatly rather than getting what you want.

The chance is a bit more than 80 percent. Titles granted under the name are a mark of either your post count or your impact on the community; often they are short jokes, like yash's "Resident Rule Nazi". If you ask for a title, you almost never will be granted your title, usually, an admin creates a title for you on a whim, as a joke.

I should have said theres a 18% chance that asking will get you a personal title-- like Balmung's...

You make a good point, Sage.

To more aptly answer your question, Blue, you cannot change the title yourself, other than by increasing your post count- but please make sure you are not posting just to post. Your posts should exist to express content, not to boost your post count.

And just to note, Moderators cannot change your title at all. So please don't ask them. =)

Cause Yash doesn't want to be bothered by noobish questions, which is far too late, considering I already gave him some.
