I usually turn everything but my light off and turn on some music on the computer. That helps me a lot. Or you could try just turning everything off and study in complete silence......that works for some......

This is gonna sound hippieish, but you got to relax first man. Once you chill, find a comfortable place to curl up. That's what I do.

Here's a method that will work-- don't get online-- don't post here-- don't have anything to do with the Internet-- and just do your work-- when you are done-- then get online-- if you get more work-- do it first-- don't think you can handle that? That means your not concentrating-- which means get back to work. The only way to break a habit like that is stop doing it and forcing yourself-- there's no "mystical trick" -- there's no "special way" heck there are no drugs that actually MAKE you concentrate-- they just slow your mind down so you cant focus on doing but so many things at once forcing you to do that one thing you really put your mind to.

Very true, Sage.

I myself suggest that you DO NOT do anything that distracts you, especially not music, T.V, and other attention-grabbers. Comeplete silence is the way to go.

Basically what is already post is a great to get your self to stay focused. I recommend though Drinking tea 2 or 3 times a day. A study has shown that drinking tea 2 or 3 times a day increases your concentration. Do not OD on the tea as it can have negative effects. Tea is also heathy for you. As stated too, avoid anything that may cause a distraction and force yourself to focus.
