Im trying for a web comic of my own. do you make a basic plan and then the rest you just make as you think them up or do you have every comic planned in an order for this?

I can answer that. Every cartoonist has a different method. I, personally, make comics at random, without any for-thought. Others, however, do it differently.

I would absolutely take out a few sheets of paper, and just start writing down the general story flow. Don't bother designing the layout for each page yet, just know what your characters are going to be doing at any given time. The last thing you want is to catch yourself running away with one plot element, while completely forgetting the greater story.

For me....I thik to make a good comic is to have 2 storylines going....Like one boys story and one girls and they meet and then its a whole storyline.

And don't forget Backstory!

No, really, Backstory and flashbacks can be a very good plot element sometimes. Especially if you are stuck in a story arc, just start fleshing out the Backstory of a character, and soon, you'll have a new story arc.

A good story can sometimes make up for bad art. Seriously, it does.

I'd say most of the time. Great art and bad storytelling won't keep anyone interested for long.
