Greetings, Forumites. Starting today, I will be steadily pruning the member list, deleting spambot accounts and banning certain email addresses from email registration. I will try my very best not to delete any legitimate accounts, but it is a possibility. If your account has a combination of no posts, no activation, a strange email address or strange name, it may be deleted by accident. Here are some things you can do to prevent this:
1. Activate your account. Even if I think it is a legitimate account, I may just delete it to be sure if you do not have your account activated. If you didn't receive or lost your account activation email, email me and I will activated it for you.
2. POST! I cannot stress this enough. If you have made at least one legitimate post, your account WILL NOT BE DELETED. I skip over all accounts which have at least one post. So post! If you're a lurker, that's okay, but at least introduce yourself in the newbie area, that's what it's for!
3. Avoid weird looking names. Sure, it's okay to have something unique. But if you'r name is just a jumble of letters and numbers, it may be deleted.
So there you have it. If your account still ends up deleted by accident, I apologies profusely.
