Granted, I haven't really watched Dragonball when I was younger, but hell. That's bad. It could match Beverly Hills Chihuahua's level of badness.

There's a healthy amount of people I'd pay good money to spend time alone with locked in a room. The guy who dreamed up a live action dragon ball movie is one of them.

I'm in about the same boat as GD, seen very little of Dragonball nor was I much of a fan, but everything I've seen about it makes it look like a total waste of time.

Dragonball had it's place. It was more of a lighthearted joke series than Z, and it focused less on the combat.

That said, this movie seems to have missed the point, and instead decided on following the darkest arc that there was.

I never really liked Dragonball Z. My issue with this movie is that it's just like every other damn movie that is based off of games, books, and cartoons. Instead of following the YEARS of [censored] story they throw all that [censored] out, grab a randomass assortment of people who they name after characters in the show, and make a whole new story. Ugh. Akira will be just as bad.

No, see...This follows Dragonball, not Dragonaball Z, and is using the Piccolo arc near the end of the show for it's plot. Which means that they have to introduce us to a midget clown and a guy with three eyes, a lady who becomes a psychopath when she sneezes, a flying cat-thing shapeshifter, a pig-shapeshifter, a bandit, team rocket, buildings contained in pills, a lunchbox holding the ultimate evil, a kid who rides a cloud....this is never going to make sense.

I didn't even get far enough to scroll down...the page loaded, I saw "Goku", screamed, and hit that little "X" in the top corner of my screen so fast I'm sure I left a dent in my touchpad...

Holy mackerel, that's just awful...
