So, I went to watch Eagle Eye today, despite our local paper's critic's score of 1/2 star out of five (God, I want his job. Easiest paycheck ever.).

The movie was entertaining, and had plenty of action. On occasion, I wished they had pulled the cameras out a bit during the chase scene(s). The critic said that only fourteen-year-olds would like it, but I think he meant 'anyone smarter than a 14 year-old would like it,' which would explain why he didn't like it.

And because it's how I operate, I rate it 7.5/5, bringing the average up to a cool 4/5, which is closer to what I would give it normally. It could be better, but it could much more easily be a lot worse. But locally, if a critic reviews a movie poorly, it's usually worth seeing.

Thoughts?

This is the only movie I have seen trailers for in the last few months that I have actually wanted to see.

Now I just need to find the time.

It's got Shia Lebeouf in it, woman! That's all that matters!

*hm* long story short, person is being chased by an investigation bureau of high stature, and the only person who can save him is someone calling him on his phone, and they guide him through the catastrophic events of 'criminal disposal'

I'd watch it, but we no longer have a movie theater around campus. You have to go at least 30 or 45 minutes away, and I don't want to see it quite that badly.

I honestly can't afford to go to the theater at the moment. I spent a little more of my spare cash than I wanted to this past week, so I'm cracking down on my budget. Even if I could afford it, though, I'm not sure if I'd want to see a movie like this in a theater.

For me, suspense thrillers are ideal for private settings. *ahem* I tend to freak out easily.

Ah Fasty, we MUST get together for a movie now! We can hold the entire theater hostage with our hysterics.....
errrr, or maybe not... :P
But we prolly would be entertaining enough ourselves to watch.

XD I already get enough stray looks from the ushers when I wear my "Music Pirate" hat to the theater, I don't know if I want them to call the cops!

(I'm such a rebel with my hat, :3)

Well, I went to watch it but got incredibly sick from the nachos halfway through, right after the dumpster crane throws their car in the river. After sending the nachos back out the way they came, then arguing with the manager because she wouldn't give me a free cup of ice water (insisting I had no proof that it was the nachos - "I DONT CARE WHAT IT WAS, JUST GIVE ME SOME ICE WATER!"), then sitting on a bench for fifteen minutes while I regained my posture, I finally made it back to the movie right where they get into the Air Force cargo plane and use that experimental drug.

I didn't have the best experience, but the movie was alright. Not sure how the main actor, a college dropout, was able to overpower a heavily trained pentagon security agent though....

Adrenalin. Adrenal Glands solve all problems. You know what adrenal glands would say if they could talk? They'd say: "Violence is never the answer; it's the question; the answer is 'yes.' "

Really Graham, look at Shia, would you expect anything from him?

Surprise, surprise and fear are our main weapons.....stopping now.
