Okay, so the brain behind Tabula Rasa has a plan. In case of the extinction of the human race, he plans on digitally encoding an archive of all of mankind's greatest achievements and putting it on the international space station.

Sounds good so far right?

Well, he's taken it a step further. He's planning on encoding actual human DNA as well. And one of the lucky saved people is... Stephen Colbert. Well... So much for humanity.

Check it out for yourself.

A planet full of Stephen Colberts would be nothing short of an orgasmic pleasurecoaster of [censored]-yeah.

I now look forward to seeing you all after the apocalypse.

This has actually been around for awhile (there was a deal going for awhile for any Tabula Rasa subscribers to get in on the project), and also Richard Garriott is a pretty far out dude. Personally I think both guys are pretty great.

Richard had an evening party once with a "Titanic" theme, only thing was he didn't tell any of his guests that he was planning on recreating what happened to the Titanic..... lets just say his guests were surprised/pissed off. Just to name one of his eccentricities.

Colbert is a master of satire therefore win, it was pretty funny when he was talking about the project. Watch his show to understand.

For more on Richard Garriot, refer to the Zero Puctuation review of Tabula Rasa.

Due to orbital decay, the ISS requires regular altitude boosts...

If we were all to go kaplooey, there would be noone to boost the ISS, and it would fall to Earth in less than 2 years...so the plan is kinda ridiculous...

You can't mine an alloy, darlin. Alloys are made by combining several metals at a forge, or rather, a steel mill. To create the alloys requires some VERY high temperatures, as I understand it.

Alloy making is becoming a lost art... or is that masonry?...

You can salvage Alloy, and remelt it to purify the metals.

After that comes sending a probe into the wreckage to find any safe valuables.

Project immortality? Maybe for the race, but what about the individual person, now that would be something worth going for, this, this is just to sell more copies of a game that is just a sci-fi version of Wow.

Now if they were willing to scan brain anagrams then I might be willing to go for it.
