Some people think it's the Voltron movie because the teaser was shown before Transformers in theaters and their crazy little minds heard one of the people say 'It's a lion it's huge!' (the guy clearly says 'It's alive.'). Some think it's a Godzilla movie because some guy is going to Japan. I'm not sure what it is but from the look of it it really reminds me of when Lavos attacks in the year 1999 on Chrono Trigger (not that I'm saying that's what the movie is going to be). If you haven't already heard of this movie then much shame on you. It's by J.J. Abrams, there's no official title and the plot as far as we can tell so far is a monster attack in New York.

I saw the trailer before transformers. No idea what exactly it's going to be, but it looks very cool.

Can't be Godzilla due to restraints place on him [we won't see another of his movies until 2013]

I really excited to find our more on it and that camera work is going to be shear brilliance.

Yeah, saw the trailer too. What exactly is it? I thought it was some kind of extra trailer for transformers.

We probably won't really know to either it comes out or is days away from being released.

I personally hope it's nothing like Voltron or Godzilla or something like that. I hope it's something that hasn't been done before, and I hope it's really original. I've read rumors that it involves something called "The Parasite," though I don't have anything concrete to back that up. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Man, I must have seen this trailer a few dozen times when I was working projection at my old job...and I still can't figure out what it was for! My first guess was some sort of Godzilla movie, but most likely not. Jurassic Park IV is in production, so I haven't crossed that one of the list yet. It might be some sort of dragon film, but your guess is as good as mine. The only clue I have to go on is that we played it during Transformers, but that doesn't tell too much. It's most likely PG-13, more action than horror, and involves some sort of monstrously strong creature.

Jurassic Park IV? Are you kidding? I mean, sure, there could be some kind of explosive usage in a JP movie, but on this magnatude? Highly doubt it. Now, some manner of dragon, Godzilla or otherwise, is somewhat more likely. Or aliens. Hoping more for Dragons than Aliens though. Heck, could even be some kind of attempt at making a gundam and/or robotech movie, but I doubt that almost as much as I doubt it being a JP movie...

I know Japan isn't really one for Americanization, but they do enjoy the dinosaurs/monsters over there. We know for sure that there's some sort of monster- just listen to the roar. Though unlikely, there's no reason why it couldn't be JP. And, no, I don't know of any movie where giant gundams roar like a beast.

I just don't see another monster movie making an appearance. I had King Kong (which was good only the first time), then Godzilla 2000, which had its moments, but seriously disappointed fans of the series. Americans just aren't that much into monster movies. Dinosaurs are a little more conceivable, so thats what I'm going with.

I don't think it's dinosaurs, because I can't think of why a dino might want to tear off Lady Liberty's head and toss it into the city. I'm putting money on some sort of robot. With special sound effects...

What about the explosion?

Why would dinosaurs survive an explosion and landing like that, and get up to liberty's head to tear it off and throw it across the city?

Looks awsome, reminds me of 'war of the worlds.' Most likely dragons or aliens. Looking forward to its release.

Saw a commercial on the telly last week, it was only a couple seconds long. Black screen, silvery robot head, with red eyes slowly opening, and under it was 1/18/08. So, we know it'll be a robot of some kind. Yayness!
