Just finished this movie and was thoroughly impressed! This is one of those few films that actually leave you turning the TV off with a warm, fuzzy feeling even though it didn't end how you wanted it to. Very awesome. It doesn't make the mistake of hinging its success on whether or not there's a happy ending, and though it won't conclude the way you expect, it's not a "TWIST!!" or a huge letdown. You get a happy ending, just not the one you expected.

Freaking great movie. I don't use the word "charming" a lot, but it's charming. Charmalicious. Charmadocious. It'll charm your [censored] EYES out.

Rent it on Tuesday, and regret you didn't see it in theaters, :)

One last thing: When you finish it, turn on the Special Features. There's a little featurette that shows just how much the community was involved in the filming process. I'm used to seeing movies where blocks are cordoned off from the public. This movie lets the residents of the area they're working in participate in the movie as full-pay actors/actresses. And they do a fantastic job of it.

I'd have to agree with your 'charming' comment. I saw it in the cinema myself and will be buying it on DVD when I get a chance. Fav scene was when they tried to break into the other video store to get the projector and kept having to smash more and more windows lol
