I couldn't find a thread that mentioned people's favourite TV shows. Feel free to ignore this if it has been done a million times before.

I absolutely love the shows:
Red Dwarf - Sci-fi comedy. Incredibly funny. Made by the BBC.. revolves around Dave Lister (the only surviver of a major disaster on a mining ship) a hologram of a fellow crew member Arnold Rimmer and a creature evolved from Lister's cat over many many years... Cat. Oh.. and there is the ships computer too. Holly. I reccommend it!
Firefly - Sci-fi.. They made the movie Serenity to close off all lose ties, because the series got cancelled. It was a great series though. Very funny, well written and unique.
The IT Crowd - Comedy about IT support in a large corporation. I've got friends that work in IT support.. and I'm a rather large geek.. so I pretty much can recognise that most of the stuff that happens on this show can happen in real life. It's a great show.
House - Drama.. If you haven't seen House.. you are missing out. Great show.. I'm not even going to say what it's about.. it's been around for ages!
Heroes - Drama... Yeah.. same goes as above.
Good News Week - Australian show that makes fun of the news of the week in a semi gameshow type way. Has comedians and politions and such playing. They have games like. "So you think you can mime?" and such.
Any of the Chasers shows - Australian show that makes fun of current news and politics. They do things like showing up to the prime ministers house with a big chunk of his facebook friends and asking if they can have a sleepover. It's always funny and they actually bring a lot of issues into the general publics eyes.

I barely watch any TV. And normally when I do it's usually a movie on sci-fi. Or the news. But my favorites would have to be...

Scrubs
The Office
Gangland
and pretty much anything on the science channel :|

Married... With Children is pretty high up on my list. As is almost any Stand Up comedy on Comedy Central.

Beyond such... Futurama? I don't have that many 'favorite' TV shows. I have many "Fun to watch" TV shows, though none that really take priority over another.

Heroes - Amazing, season 2 needed more time- but the strike screwed that up.
House - Everyones favorite doctor
The Office - This show is just so funny- it may seem a bit dull or weird at times- but give it a chance- it's great.
Bones - I just started watching this- and its a decently good show.
Lost - I only watch it on DVD now- its just - something ya gotta watch one after the other.
Mythbusters - AWESOME GEEKS DOING AWESOME STUFF
Future Weapons - Ive never been a military buff- heck i dont like shooting guns - but seeing some of the cool things they have and how they work - very cool stuff.
Ghost Hunters - Really cool show, do i believe in Ghosts? I'm not sure- at least not in the sense most people think of ghosts.

Good shows:
BBC: Waiting for God, Vicar of Dibbley (Dawn French is luff) Are you being served, Red Dwarf, and Monty Python's Flying Circus and Dr. Who

Crime Drama: CSI's (all) and Law and orders (all)

Mythbusters, Ghost Hunters, and Blue Planet (what I saw was pure luffs)

House is awesome, so is Bones.

THat's all I can think of for now, I don't really have a "Must Watch" anymore. :?

*Agrees with most of the shows listed, especially Wynni's excellent BBC choices (where's "Keeping Up Appearances"? ;3)*

How about some G4 action? Like "Attack of the Show" and "X Play" and "Ninja Warrior"?

...or the Cartoon Network's Saturday night Adult Swim anime block?

...or my favorite sources of news, Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report"?
X3

Hm, favorite shows. It might be a short list because I don't have satallite or cable tv but here it goes.

House, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Prison Break, Heroes, Blackadder, M.A.S.H., Star Trek: Voyager, Supernatural, and Smallville.

I guess that's it for now.

I like watching lost, but I've never seen the point of watching other shows. Somehow I can never remember when a show is supposed to start.

Good lord, a case #0572! Summon the Inquisition!

Joking aside, Southpark lost much of its appeal after Chef left. Earlier seasons of it, Scrubs, Simpsons, SG-1, etc, all those appealed to me more than the current episodes.

Oh, and for some reason, I like watching the Art Channel. Go figure.
