The only one I ever watched is Azumanga Daioh.
It's Japanese.

You really liked Battle Vixens (Ikkitousen)? I found it to be too fanservicey for me...

I agree with Chaosye that Azumanga Daioh is a great series...maybe you'd like Love Hina or Tenchi Muyo! - they are pretty much along the same lines as Maburaho...

Love Hina is a super classic- the Manga being a hundred times better than the anme- and the anime in english was hoooooorible.

If you end up liking Love Hina or if you do like it- Negima is the next step. Once again- manga better than anime.

I assume you have already read Chobits...

Another one to suggest that might take your interest also has a bit of action as well. Try looking for Kiddy Grade perhaps. Or Gunslinger Girl. *Is a bit of a Sci-fi / gun nut buff.*

Caught any of GG Season 2 yet?
;3

Another suggestion: Fruits Basket (another series that, as Sage pointed out, is better as a manga, but is still good)...

Actually I liked the anime more than the manga in this case- manly because the manga used so many sparkel tones near the end you couldnt read the text much less understand what was going on without spending so much time going back and forth- while the anime was cut way short- but still- fantastic.

Bean Bandit is pretty good, if what I hear about it is to be believed. Suppossedly violent (Well, it IS violent. And features some blood).

Violence Jack is also suppossed to be a good Dystopian Anime, though it is quite violent and suffers from horrible translation [And is brutally short].

Of course, neither is like Mabuharo (Sp?) whatsoever. Maybe that Negima stuff would count, though from my understanding Negima is a long, LONG series.

It really sucks that Stage6 is shutting down. :/

I especially liked The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.

Midori No Hibi is a great love story. I loved it, it's about a guy who wakes up one day and find that his hand turned into a girl, the top half. :P
8 Episodes Fansubbed

Like i said before Negima, a 9~10 year old boy/magician teaches at an all girls school and every single one who sees him is instantly in love with him.
26 Episodes

Bleach is a good anime I don't know why i like it so much, I just do.
163 Episodes so far

Errr Naruto, it's a given.

FLCL is an awesome anime short, but funny it is also a given.
6 Episodes.

There are some others, but I can't think of them at the moment.
