At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A of 421 Broome Street in SoHo for an appointment with Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Ledger unresponsive. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play and said they found pills near his body.

It's a shame, really. He was a pretty good actor.

It may not be true, but I am going to choose to believe that Heath Ledger died that the Joker may live. Just like Raul Julia and General Bison.

I'm really curious what happened to him. Healthy twenty-seven-year-olds don't just keel over for no reason.

Well they say they found pills next to his body.

True, but until the autopsy, that could mean anything. Maybe the pills were just a pain killer. Maybe they were a sleep aide. *shrug* Not enough details. Maybe there was an overdose, maybe it was an allergic reaction. I'm just interested in finding out the truth of the situation.

Accidental overdose, suicide, failure to take his pills in time, consumption of wrong medication, drug overdose...

Shame. I hardly knew the man. So what happens to joker now?

Nothing, he finished the Dark Knight before he died.

Yup, those crazy Westboro people have jumped all of this apparently. What kind of jerks picket a funeral? Crazy cults apparently.

These are the same people that picketed military funerals.

You know, it's ignorant bigots like this who make us Christians look bad. What kind of insensitive moron would picket at a funeral?! But this is an entirely different topic..

I'm not great with actors, but I don't think I've seen anything with him in it. However, I am greatly looking forward to his final movie. It's a shame that this happened.

Withou poking at the link till I get home I'm guessing its the Phleyps family?

A Knights Tale was a pretty good movie, but Brokeback Mountain was a kind of disapointment.

(Grr, Phleyps. Send them over seas and they'd picket troops in the middle of a firefight.)

edit: ok, so it ain't just them, it's their whole congregation, but seriously, they need a pastor with an inkling of untwisted biblical teaching to set 'em straight.....buggers

Yah know what, I'm sick, and at work. My mind is dead, but it does tell me this:

Those people have some SERIOUS issues. I'm mad I know a person just like them -_- I want to kick her too.

I'm gonna avoid a rant til I'm more alive.

Oki I came back just to say something. If they're going to protest his funeral, why didn't they protest say.. hmn... 'Bruce All Mighty' or... 'Evan All Mighty'?

It took some doing, but they've finally settled on a cause of death: mixed meds overdose complicated by the pneumonia he was taking the meds for.

A stupid accident took a wonderful actor way too soon.

ANOTHER Joker down!? It's a cursed role, I say!

It's a damn shame, it really is. Even if he was in BBM. The whole Best Buy thing I can understand, though, and it's not just greed. As soon as an actor dies, people often go looking for some of his best works, and are upset when they can't find them. It's sort of a no-win situation for them, with upset customers either way.

....what other joker is down?

last I checked, Jack Nicholson is still kicking and raring.

Mark Hamill, who has provided the voice of the animated joker for the past several several years, is still fine and dandy. (and who's voice I automatically hear now, when I think Joker)

unless you meant Ceasar Romero, who was quite an aged gentleman when he finally passed away.

So, what other Joker actor passed?

or were you thinking of Brandon Lee's "The Crow"?
