This is a remastered(frame by frame) 1920's silent cartoon that some film buffs found and recovered. It's by far one of the best translations of a story by Lovecraft to film that I've seen, and the soundtrack(which is new) is memorable. I particularly like the representations of Shub-Niggurath and Azathoth. Shub-Niggurath actually looking like she could inspire the name "Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young"? For once?! And Azathoth's nuclear chaos is well represented by the kalidescoping action.

Oh yeah, and he put the cat in there. That's just a reference to another Dream Cycle story.
