Heheh thanks for Chrono throwing a few ideas, I liked this one alot ^^ So nwo you have a place to complain about things like WHY IN GODS NAME DID FOX CANCEL FIREFLY!!! *Runs outside screaming his head off for a few hours then comes back* Please make sure to keep on topic and not become to heated among one another. Here's one, why does america like to destroy good anime by putting stupid puns in them "for the kids." It ruined Digimon for me...

Also, what ever happened to the good shows, like grounded for life (I know it's now on WB, but it doesn't have the same charm), Titus, and That 70's show has gone down the crapper. Not to mention that 80's show, it was funny, but got cancelled quickly.

As for reality TV... rant, rant rant...

America seems to screw anime up when they license it and translate it. DBZ, for instance, while it does suck it is much MUCH better in Japan then it is here. Funimation sucks!

All of the good shows to me equals The Outer Limits, The Twlight Zone (the old ones for these two), Quantum Leap, Happy Days, Growing Pains, and other old sitcoms. As sex and violence started to make their way into TV they slowly became worse and worse.

Whoa there! Lets not say bad things about Funimation! Really- Funimation isnt that bad-- I spent a long time talking to their reps at Megacon last year-- they feel the same way about a lof of things we do about anime-- the only problem is how they started out- because originally they were under the pressure of broadcast and they were told to "Translate everything- make it sutable to American TV" this wasnt something they could do anything about-- otherwise they wouldnt have any money to bring any anime to the US! Funimation has done some good dubs in the past and has done a pretty good job-- now thanks to DVDs they are doing even better by making sure the subs are true to the Japanese and they are trying to fit the voices to the personalities - problem is this country lacks a large number of voice actors willing to work on Anime while in Japan people will give their left arm to be a voice actor!

Yes im defending Funimation-- cuz they are nice people! They like anime just as much as we do- and they do what they can-- even if they must be evil to do so...

I don't mean the people of Funimation are bad, but Funimation the company sucks. So do the censors on American TV.

Ya know, I have a feeling that DBZ was not originaly intended to be a kids T.V. show. TT I personaly think that they should make it a teenager show... TT As well as Yu Yu Hakusho. WHAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT IN TAKING IT OFF ADULT SWIM AND PUTING IT ON TOONAMI!?!?!?!?!?! TT And yes, I watch all the guy shows..... Wanna make somethin of it. ( NOTE: The last sentance was directed to all the people who think that girls shouldn't watch cartoons and should be doing girly things like jumping rope and shopping. I like to shop... But I like video games better. )

It is much much more violent and full of obscenities in the Japanese version.

of course there ar more obsinities in DB. i rented he dvd on time and instead of watching the dubbed version i watched the directly translated version, and there are things you'll find in the trans. that weren't even mentioned in the dubbed. if you wanna really know what your missing BUY THE MANGA!!!1111!1!oneone

Funimation brough a great version of Fruits Basket to the US-- even the Opening theme that was TRANSLATED AND DUBBED! (omg that sounds horrible but they did a really good job on it! -- still not as good but I was impressed...) Personally i wish Funimation had got Love Hina but noooo-- Bandai got it-- and screwed it up more than funimation has ever screwed anything up... They should get more of the cute and fun animes-- its just to bad that they have some idiot yelling "Buy this its go flying and fighting!" If you give them something that doesnt need to be censored they will do very well-- but i dont know who would do a good job on an anime like DBZ- i mean Geneon? they do good work but i dont see them doing DBZ... ADV? nah... Maybe the group at Viz.. but whatever.... :lol:

Anyways, not all tv is bad, i heart teh history channel. Yay Howard Hughes, I wishes i was like yous (minus insanity and codine addiction)(No, wait, plus insanity.)

And mash, that was a great show, so were the old twilight zones. AND DOCTOR WHO OMG WORD. Especially Tom Baker. Yay!

Making one of the bests anime ever only 6 epi long. (Fooly Cooly) I can say if they traded off quantity for quality than they made a good trade, but otherwise, it should have been a longer series!!

K, I'm done... well, reality Tv is the downfall of all good shows... now I'm done.
