This is funny, but if you're really religious, don't read unless you are willing to laugh at religion. Anyways, without further ado:

The Onion is the greatest thing ever. You should all read it.

Jesus was said to be the son of God. Well, technically we're all supposed to be God's children, so why the special emphasis on that one guy..whatever. My point is, Jesus talks about forgiveness and love. Christianity is based on the word of Christ. So, it pisses me off to no end whenever I see all these 'Christians' going on about sin, punishment and fear the whole time.

This better be a joke 'cause I really hate feckers like them.

Hate to break it to you, but as much as some of the articles in the Onion can really tell us something about how messed up people can be, it's a joke newspaper with joke articles that are based somewhat in true human behavior. I wouldn't be surprised if there are tons of people across the country who actually have the attitude depicted here :(

Well at least the article's fake =P

But yeah, you're right. I saw this thing on tv a while back about people wanting creationism (or what they called 'Intelligent Design') to be taught in schools as science alongside evolutionism. And they had a vote for it, and it was passed.

. . . .

Yes! I was battling with someone in the editorial section of our local paper about that. Idiot was trying to claim that Intelligent Design was more likely and has more evidence backing it than evolutionary theory. He tried to say that a theory has no real proof backing it up, that it was basically a hypothesis. I pwned him. That college biology class finally helped me out for something! No evidence of evolution, indeed!

Yeah, those religous zealots were claiming that as a 'theory' evolutionism is flawed and is essentially guesswork.

What they don't seem to realise is that in science, a 'theory' doesn't mean a guess. Yet their whole arguement is based on it.

'The earth is only 6000 years old.' Like hell it is. (shut up, I'm aware of the irony =P)

Yeah, religious talk isn't allowed on this board last time I heard. Instead of going by what people tell you, read Darwin's book and then read the Holy Bible and whatever other religious book you'd like to read and decide for yourself. I could have sworn everything in Evolution hinges on the missing link which has yet to be discovered.
