This has to be the absolute saddest movie in history. I just saw it on TV again, and it is the only movie to ever bring a tear from my eye. And I fight back my tears, so If I just let it go, Id be a mess. Oh my gosh that is a sad movie...darn near every moment at the end feels like it punches you in the throat. And the acting of course was amazing, It always felt like this is the way people would react when faced with death...and the hurt, fear and desperation always seemed to show through. This is the way to make movies, not flashy CGI and car explosions, but character depth and story. Sure it used special effects, it kind of had too, but its apperant that is not what the movie is based around. And holy sweet moses...when the guy who was blinded says goodbye to his wife and son...:'( that kills you inside right there.

I can't find video of the Goodbyes, but maaan, this movie is heartbreaking. I want more quality movies like this, STOP MAKING THINGS BLOW UP IN MOVIES AND HIGHER SOME WRITERS! Now If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go do some outrageously cute furry things.

I dunno, I think a more historic movie like.. ooh... say.... Schindler's List is much sadder.

I agree, Deep Impact is a pretty sad movie but it never really brought a tear to my eye, movies just don't do that to me. I find historical movies to be more sad over all, or historical movies that could be true.

Well, out of the movies I've seen, this is the saddest to me. And I've never seen shindlers list, I mean I went to see it, but I was making out.
