As the title implies, there will be a documentary-style film about the assassination of the current U.S. president. It's being filmed in black and white, and the basic idea is, 'what would happen if Bush was assassination?' The film is so realistic, that the producers have taken a digital model of Bush's head, and pasted it on the actor, making it look like it really was happening. It will be premiering in a few weeks at a Toronto film festival.

What are your thoughts about this film?

I personally couldn't care less. But I guess it could be fun?

Eh, probably just another liberal ego trip, but if it can't be summarized by it's title plus "and they all lived hapily ever after" it could be an amazing historical alternate piece. Sorta like Kennedy Reloaded as a movie.

But... these days politics are one extreme to the next, especially with anyone with enough education to get their point across. Maybe the movie is about how it would actually be bad, but even then I'd only see it for the change of pace.

Alternate contemporary might actually be a good new genre though. So if hell freezes over and the movie isn't political, I'd definately see it.

As much as I hate Bush I think it's a bad idea.

I'd feel better if he ACTUALLY was assasinated.

I really don't think anyone here actually KNOWS what Bush has done or has tried to do.

*Shakes head*

Thanks Luca fox, that's exactly my thought.

Well, for starters he sent 600 million dollars alone into afghanistan, causing over hundreds of thousands of people in the US to lose their jobs.

yea, it wold please a lot of people to assassin an idiot, but then again, plotting an assassination isn't funny. Targetting specific people isn't either (i know this one for sure).

I'm not overly keen on Bush, but on balence I would have to say it is not the brightest idea under the sun.
Hopefully it will have the effect of taking down the Bush administrations 'Self Importance' levels a peg or two.

If Dubya was assassinated, his legacy would live on as an instant war against any country that seems even slightly possible of being behind it. Assassin from America? No problem, start talking about who brainwashed him. "No true American would knock off Dubya!"

Bush's administration is good enough at coming up with reasons for war as it is without actually being given one. Giftwrapped. On a silver platter.

The movie? Go for it. Hypotheticals are fun. I don't remember the oil companies kicking up a stink over Oilstorm...

Gods know he could use being taken down a peg or two, after dragging most of the UN into not one but two wars, both of which have been declared successes, neither of which have fulfilled their stated goal.

Guys, seriously. I have nothing against liberals. Some of my best friends are. But this is just... low... I know you don't like Bush, but much against common belief, he isn't the devil.

P.S. Even if Kerry was insulting Bush over grades, who did better in college.

No he isn't the Devil, He's just a moron who other people have propped up as there front man, using his natural stupidity to project him as down to earth, As unlikely as it sounds, he may be a decent bloke if you knew him personally, I think expressed 'Bush-Hatred' is more aimed at 'his administrations' policies rather than him personally, that would just be wrong.
