I thought Naruto was just another overyhyped anime like Dragonball Z but my cousin sent me the first 5 episodes and now I can't get enough! It really sucks that Viz Video licenced it because they're gonna cut everything out and make the already short episodes (25 minutes) shorter.

I heard it was licensed when I was looking for fan-subs of newer episodes. It'll be airing on CN in 3rd quarter.

It pulled tricks like DBZ (i.e. moves you never heard of until last minute), but it seemed less kiddy. But we'll have to wait until the dub to see what happens. It could easily be ruined, but I like how FMA was done, so maybe there'll be a big surprise here.

All animes are 22-24 minutes each- thats not short thats normal... (There are a few exceptions like OVAs, movies, Shorts etc)
Anyways Viz so far doesnt have this anime- the group that owns the License now doesnt dub anime it sells it to a group like funimation, 4kids, ADV-- but none of them have been announced. But Cartoon Network has announced that they will be showing Naruto- Things will be cut but we can look forward to uncut DVDs to come out... To bad the Dub will probably suck ^_^
(They have not said it will be shown on Adult Swim so we can assume it will be like DBZ(at worse) or Yu Yu Hakasho (at best)

Amazing series tho... I love it. The music. The animation. The humor.
It's probably my favorite series. I'm really looking forward to how it ends.

Kancho didn't start in Naruto. Naruto just sorta used it.

It's so sad yet so true. But maybe on the dvds you can listen to the original voices, that's what I'm holding out for.

If they take out the Koncho, you'll hear no complaints from me! The last thing I need is a bunch of little twerps around here getting that idea...

No, you see that's what would happen if 4Kids got their hands on it (... it's amazing how much they can butcher a series, simply amazing). Most other companies are at least decent.

As for Naruto... meh. My roommate likes it so I've been watching it lately however the fact that half the episode is explanations of what's happened before takes away from it a lot. The constant repetition of certain things also annoys me, "yeah, I get the darn idea now stop showing that scene every 5 minutes." Basically I preferred the manga, at least there I could easily skill the annoying parts.
