That's the only manga I've ever actually had the incentive to spend cash on (I don't dislike manga, I probably just need to look harder). I picked it up one day in a Barnes and Noble, and said to myself, "Ninjas? Ok, this is just awesome." The characters are kool, and the art style is dope. It's also frequently really, really funny.

I really want to see the cartoon, but I never have. If some network gets ahold of it, I don't think I'll watch it, because the exploitation of anime has reached the point where it seems as though they just don't care about how well the dubbing is done... But what do I know? The dubbed version of Cowboy Bebop was just as kool as the Nihongo one. Same goes for pretty much all of Miyazaki's movies (but Disney had money to blow on that, I'm sure).

Naruto has been Licensed and will begin being shown on Cartoon network this September on Saturday-- there is an 80% chance that they will have editied it to death and most likey raped the content. But the DVDs are being released UNCUT! with original japanese diologue-- problem is-- its going to take you forever and will cost you an arm and a leg to buy them all-- there are well over 140 (146 came out last week)episodes-- and still going (next Wed the next one should be out by dattebayo fansubs...)

The anime is very good though has lots of filler and tons of Flashback scenes so they can save on animation and get ahead-- some people dont realize how they create anime and why they do the things they do-- but anyways overall the anime is wonderful-- in SOME cases better than the manga because the action is actually moving-- which was the whole point of animation- he gets to show off the actual movement and not a series of major poses. Anywho!
Bleach is better!

I swore that when I wasn't paying much attention to the TV that they showed something saying Evangelon was coming to Adult Swim. But I was tired at the time and focused on my comp so I might have been imagining it. But I swear I wasn't...

Alright.

On Topic: I know nothing about Naruto except for the name.

Off Topic: Well, if you heard something about it, and I swear I saw it on TV, then it has to be true. I just wonder when they will start showing it and how hacked and slashed it will be. I also know nothing about Eva, but everybody goes crazy when they talk about it so I would have to guess that it is like crack or something.

Eva is alright...

Naruto... Many people are calling it the new DBZ, which the more I look at it, the more it holds to be true. Naruto is a fairly enjoyable series, yes this is true. But I see it being cut to hell and ending up like DBZ mach II in a way.

Could just be me though, never know.

EVA will be mostly completely uncut since it will be on Adult swim-- if you watched EVA you should realize it didnt really have a lot of stuff in it a 14 year old couldnt watch.

And even though a lot of people compair Naruto to Dragon Ball Z-- i hate it when they do-- because while it is an action anime-- it is a million times better in both animation, characters, and story line (no turning an old legendary story into nothing more than an alien invasion here)

I totally agree! I never really understood what was so appealing about DBZ. In fact, everytime I think of DBZ, this comes to mind.

Heh, sorry Sage. Fact is the two are very different. Naruto is better overall, but plot wise, they just seem to follow a similar formula, that's why its related together. At least in later episodes, not the earlier ones.

I read CAD all the time, but I disided to check out the sister site VG Cats. While there, I found something funny that has to do with this topic. http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=145

Japanese version of naruto is better in graphic violence and character voice-over. Why you ask? Well naruto has a deeper voice for his character which is good because it is not high pitched that much which is good in my book.

I have dived deep into the topic of Naruto. I have read the manga to the highest point I can (chapter 312) and I have watched every single episode that I can in Japanese and English and this is what I have found.

It has a really great plot and is filled with story twists. Its mixture of over the top violence and pun after pun tactics I find every amusing. Overall I like the manga better because you get a lot more information out of it. But I like the anime (Japanese) for the fact that you can see how the fighting runs through and it gives voices to the characters. I also hate the endless use of fillers and fillers and more fillers. I also don't like the English dubbing, they could have picked better voices and they cut something’s out that I would rather them have kept in.

Overall Naruto is fantastic and I will continue reading and watching it.

Off Topic - DBZ isn’t the best anime I can think of, but it does have its good points. Like Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT better. Oh I also like the Bleach series.
