Earth's last, best hope for peace... Yeah. That worked out REAL well. Between the Vorlons, the Shadows, Presdent Clark, and those ever wacky telepaths, B5 was Earth's last, best hope for sanity moreso than peace. XD

Has anyone else seen any of this series? It's a tad old, but very good. The acting is superb, great stories and Sheridan rules. :3 Also, the CG is well ahead of it's time. It was made on the old Amiga computers, which were YEARS ahead of their time in the CG field. :D I've only seen through most of Season 4, and a bit of Season 5, so don't spoil anything for me. XD

Kind of a broad question... basically after this huge war with aliens called the membari humans build this space station called babylon 5, and wouldn't ya know it, everything goes to hell. :D I don't remember much of the first season, but the second and third seasons were mostly about the war with these aliens called shadows, and the fourth season involved the war between babylon 5 and earth after some crazy dictator takes over earth. :D The fifth season is about the war with telepaths, but I haven't seen all of it.

Right now I'm renting the season DVDs from blockbuster, but I'm sure you could buy them at most video stores(Suncoast, anyone? :P) Or rent them from netflixz or a like service. :D

This is where you're supposed to put links to a site about the show and/or pictures.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9 used to be compared to Babylon 5 when it came out.

The B5 series was diffrient from other series like ST in that it used fixed jumpgates for the most part for ships to enter Hyperspace.

The use of Hyperspace was also very diffrient from other concepts previously used. In one episode a ship was lost in hyperspace and the station had to send out fighters to look for it.

Not really, Halo didn't use fixed Jumpgates as I recall.

Yeah, but the idea of being able to be lost in hyperspace and it being another dimension.

I think it was season 1. I know one of the Starfury pilots spots a Shadow ship after it attacks them and he gets separated. He ends up following it and making it back to the jump gate.

Is it like in halo, where it takes a couple days to travel through slipspace the same distance you would travel trillions of years in normal space, or is it instantanious?
