Not a remake of the original series and not a sequel, this is a totally new series.

The series picks up where the 2003 Mini-series left off. The survivors of humanity have escaped the colonies only to be persued by more Cylon ships. Ugh.

Quote:
"The Cylons were created by man.
They Rebelled.
They Evolved.
They look and feel Human.
Some are programmed to think they are human.
There are many copies.
And they have a plan."

the series is actually really good-- the characters seem very real and the CG is very good (about time they actually use depth of feild in space...)

I think the old cylon standard units were so much awesom. Total badasses. Are they anything like the old uns?

I think the new standard cylons for Combat/Assault still look really cool -- there arent many humans as they are used mainly just to spy and such instead... so the old type are still around just now its more practical to see more of the human kind unless they are on a planet or the cylons get onto one of the ships... And well like i said -- the CG in this show is really good-- the Cylons look really spiffy ^_^

That's pretty nifty. Is it still running on sci-fi? The only way I can get at cable is in the common room in the basement of my dorm, and needless to say i dont get out there very often.

Battlestar Galactica is back on the air with season 2!

Tewenty straight weeks of new episodes! (Unless you're from the US in which case all of them aired starting in the summer.)

(Old Links above still work.)

This weekend's episode was 2-04 "Resistance"

Quote:
Tigh's boorish command continues to antagonize the fleet. Disaster ensues after a combination of judgment is blurred by drink and the goading of his ambitious wife, Ellen.

Yep, Col Tigh has been hitting the bottle again. Meanwhile Starbuck and Helo encounter a survivor cell on Caprica.

EDIT: I can see that everyone's just totally freaking out about how great it is to have new episodes.
