This might fit in Media, or it could fit in Gaming or both. But it felt more like a ranting more than anything.

First I would like to introduce the long existing site http://www.hanshootsfirst.org/ which has a petition that people can sign to support the release of an unmodified Original Trillogy.
The center piece argument of which is Han Solo shooting Greedo first in the original and "In self defense" in the Special Edition.

They have some 72,000 signatures already but they need more! because George Lucas only cares about screwing over the fans with crappy new stuff.

(Rant-like enough?)

While we're on petitions the large crew over at http://www.swrebellion.com/ is trying to get hold of the Source Code for Star Wars Rebellion / Supremacy. An older strategy game that has the potential to become the best game of it's type if the mod team can find a way arround it's coding. They Really want to do this legally if they can so there are plans to set up a possible petion for that as well besides just mailing LucasArts.

Moderators feel free to move this where ever you think it best fits.

*cough* online petetions, you might have a better chance of meting Bush in Texas where that soccor mom is now, than getting Lucus to release the original versions. He'll release them when he feels like it, I mean he prolly doesnt even know about this petetion. :roll:

One would think that STAR WARS would be a dead giveaway as to where this might be placed. If it belongs in two sections then let's go with the first thing talked about, shall we?
