The CEO of Turner Broadcasting says that skipping ads is stealing and I can sorta see where he's coming from. What do you think?

You're nuts if you think I'm gonna read that monster, dude. Give us a summary.

Maybe I'll help us out here, haha:

Because of the ad skips.... It's theft. Your contract with the
network when you get the show is you're going to watch the
spots. Otherwise you couldn't get the show on an ad-supported
basis. Any time you skip a commercial or watch the button you're
actually stealing the programming.

I had to laugh at the comment "I guess there's a certain amount of tolerance for going to the bathroom."
A certain amount? "I guess"? What a ridiculous statement.

I can see the point he is making on the skipping of advertising, but I am against advertising in any form so I couldn't care less at some guys moaning at potential profit losses.

Summary plx. Not a long one, just a brief one.

Example: A long story about a girl killing another boy's dog because she's jealous. You give a summary like:

Boy gets dog. Boy loves dog. Girl is jealous of dog. Girl kills dog.

Something like that.

I summed everything up in four words and with one sentence.

maybe they dont understand that the program is being shown on tv with thousands of other shows- and if we want to watch more than one we can do so without seeing a single ad-- the ads are shown durring inbetween time- and we are not obligated to watch them-- there is no reason to watch them there is no agreement that "people will watch the ads" it is just "your ad will be shown here" not "1 million people watch this show so 1 Million people will buy your product or will at least see your Ad."

Thus the only problem is-- Digital Recording devices that skip ads-- when you record a program it should include the ads (as silly as that sounds) UNLESS you are paying a monthly fee to use something like TiVO because some of that money should go to the company to make up for the lose of advertising cash flow...

And thats how the money tree works...
