apparently it worked when van halen asked mccain to stop using "right now"

yea they will stop cause they do not want to be in any legal trouble...but i think Foo Fighters should have made a bigger fuss. They could have made hundreds of thousands...its not like the republican party could have won for illigal usage of a song. McCain would be screwed too. haha yep...I thin k thats the only reason why Foo Fighters will not sue...they do not want to ruin anyone's campaign.

Yes and no. They stopped using that particular song, but they didn't stop using licensed songs without permission, and that's illegal.

Well if they sued they would basically kill the election because Mcain would have no money at all to continue campaiging and would basically allow obama to win....

Also Obama has used some songs it jsut hasnt gone public he used 2 songs and stopped on his second time...No one heard about that i wonder?

haha serious? Did he take the songs without permission? I havn't heard of Obama's music stealing O.O I still go with the artests. Sorry future presidents...your wrong...the music artists are right. The Artists are getting robbed by them.

The problem is this little thing called "public domain." Some songs are fair game, while others aren't.

It appeared someone wasn't doing their homework properly. I'd have put someone else in charge already.
And of course you wouldn't hear of Obama's muisical misdeeds. The majority of the media wants him to win.

And yet obama is the worst thing we could need right now..His priest wanted to murder a gun shop owner because obama and obamas priest are both Unpro-guns....

He also is in league with a party of insane pepole who are forging fake voter registarrtions....The world is a insane place when a man forges fake voter registrations..

And yet, none of these artists ever think to just say "sure, use the song, but send the royalties." ...yet have I to see that mentioned anywhere in any of them.

I mean, you know it's a mess when even Weird Al can get stuck in it. Anyone remember "Amish paradise?"

edit add: and yes, stuffing ballot boxes is as old as the country, sadly. Truly, ACORN is just following some of the oldest voting traditions in the book.

Pfffft. I just think the artist should be getting money for there music and I hate how this is the 3rd time...I am pro Artist on these types of cases :D. ...maybe its cause music...is my life XD! :P
