Dang, I was hoping he'd finish up the story with a trilogy.

Indeed. That was what was planned to begin with I beleive. But, things change. I have a feeling that it's because he's getting lazy. So instead of writing 1 long third book, he's writing 2 instead. So that he can get some money out of it earlier.

And yes, FastChapter, you certainly made a huge mistake.

I didn't even know it was a novel series to begin with, :P Then again, I'm kind of glad I'm not a fan of the genre mainly for the mountains of bad literature being written about it. Terri Goodkind, that means you.

Dont listen to all critics....Its a great great series i dont see the bad criticism at it -.-

Fastchapter, have at thee! I actually like the wizard's rule books better than the Wheel of Time....at least ALL the characters don't have a case of "only I can fix this, I'd better keep this knowledge to myself" complex.

Sheesh, if any of them had bothered to TALK TO EACH OTHER, it would only have been a trilogy.

*huff*huff*huff*

Yeah, I came in from the movie, and yes, I did see dwarves in the background, but they were not part of the main plot.

For what it was, decent movie, and it brought another reader to the series.

I just find the magic a bit cumbersome in his 'verse. I prefer Mercede's Lackey's take on it.

I read the first book of the series... well, the first three chapters of it on my sister's suggestion. The writing was so poor in that first chunk that I decided not to waste my time reading the rest, :P Too predictable, and I really didn't give a rat's patootie about the main-character-who-was-so-angry-but-couldn't-be-angry-because-he-didn't-like-anger-but-then-he-let-his-anger-go-and-got-a-magic-sword-from-a-stone.

Well, the books were indeed predictable, but that's half the fun reading them :P

I got my hands on the first book, Eragon, for free. Due to lack of anything smart to do, I read it in a week or two (I was a slow reader back then) and came up with the opinion that it's an interesting story anyway.

Paolini was... What? 17 years? And the book was first published through family company, so of course it's not perfect, but I've noticed his writing improving a bit as the story goes.

So what the heck, I'll read the last two.
