I have to admit, I kind of find that funny, albeit in a somewhat sad, ironic way. You'd be fine with it if I held a civil ceremony because I'm agnostic, but uncomfortable if I returned to believe in Christ again and held my ceremony in an accepting church. :?

I'm not going to hold my breath for the Church to allow a Christain gay marriage. It's sad that while some rules in religion are actively changing or being outmoded, the one that affects us is still in effect. Being agnostic, I wouldn't be able to get married in my local parish anyway - a lot of the churches around here are strict as to who they marry. My sister's husband had to get confirmed before they would even consider it. So while the Church may someday realize a 2,000+ year old rule doesn't apply to modern society, I would still be screwed, XD

Ah well, you can still have a ceremony with a civil union, which is fine by me. Plus you don't have to book a church, so you have more money to spend on a bigger cake. ^^

Would you ask a Jew or Muslim to serve pork?
Religion must be free. If you find a church willing to perform the ceremony, I'd be more than happy for you, as long as doing so doesn't break tenants of faith.

In all honesty, other than one apostle's opinion, and the old admonition against priests misusing the altar boys, I have nothing from Jesus' own lips.

If you mean that you would only oppose the forcing of churches to perform gay marriages, then we actually do agree, as that's an issue that must be left to individual churches to sort out. I thought you meant that, in general, you'd be uncomfortable with any sort of religious gay marriage. My misunderstanding.

Hey, can someone rainbow up my avi's hair? I don't have photoshop or... any editing software of any kind besides Paint, which I just suck at using. "Thanks" in advance, or possible "why not" in advance.

Any hair I try will just become clownish, however here's what I came up with.

It's really no big trick - after making a new layer with ~20-50 opacity it becomes instant noodle: just add color.
