So Bungie released a teaser trailer this morning at 7:07:07 AM. Yes, they did it down to the second like that. Them and their 7s. Anyway, this is from the new project that they were planning to announce during E3 week, but got the nay say from their publisher. Go watch it here, now. :o

Because Bungie can't make anything except Halo games. Also, this trailer reminds me way too much of a similar sequence in the game Advent Rising. Colour me skeptical.

Marathon! I demand Marathon!

Probably going to be another Halo though. Halo Wars maybe?

I don't know why, but I always love those trailers that have all those words and pictures flying around and you can't see a gorram thing.

I'm hoping for a Marathin game, because the Halo games are just getting worse now. Also, near the end, the screen says: activating subroutine "Virgil," which makes me think of the AIs from Marathon.

So...we're debating if Halo 3 is going to cross over with Marathon? Because, you know, the big "Halo 3" thing in the middle of the screen and the Halo 3 tag on the blog post suggests to me that it's just another lackluster FPS in the Halo series since producing those requires little effort and is essentially printing money. I wish I could believe...But the cynic in me thinks Bungie will never revisit Marathon.

There is more to this story. The trailer is connected to this humorous little article; http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=15526

I've hear rumors about a squad-based game revolving around the ODST. This could be that game. Also, based on the trailer, it might take place between Halo 2 & Halo 3. (If you notice, it's New Mombasa, and then there's the Covenant capital ship moving in the background, then making a jump just as drop pods shoot down from above.)

The Halo storyline ends with Halo 3. They're going to make different aspects to fit with the books.

I saw 117 in there. MC is going to play a second-hand role. prolly.

That would be cool. ODST are badass.

Halo IV - it'd be an appropriate if not unoriginal addition to the trend of "Sequel IV" games, ^^

I've never understood the excitement over the Halo games. They were so mediocre. =/ I mean, they're fun for a while and then it just gets rather old.

It's the storyline, all the hype comes from the storyline and multiplayer.

Campaigns were minimized as they went on because of the original plot.

They wrote the plot first, then the game.

If they wrote the plot longer, then the game would've been longer.
