Hello! :D

I was wondering if anyone would like to recommend some free MMOG that might be good to play. Do any of you have recommendations?

I only have a laptop, and my graphics card is not that good. I would like to play a video game, but I do not want to spend alot of money getting a new game or getting a new graphics card. I heard about alot of free downloadable MMOGs like Last Chaos, Warrock, Anarchy Online, etc. However, I have no idea which one to play.

You could always check out http://www.dofus.com/

It's an MMORPG if you don't like RPGs. Very fun game, although starting out can be a little hard. And they're currently making a new game called http://www.wakfu.com/en

Unfortunately last time I checked out Dofus, the games "economy" was ruined basically, low prices on everything, but that should be good for a newb.

Gunz, Trickster, and Ragnarok Online are a few acceptable games that don't require a really good graphics card to run. You could find a private Everquest server if you have friends you want to play with. I'd recommend staying as far away from Maple Story as possible. It's the 4chan of MMORPGs.

I've pretty much settled on Fiesta for my free MMORPG needs.

Yeah, Ragnarok Online is pretty good, but don't pay, go to one of the big Private Servers so it's free.

Shameless plug:

Mabinogi is due for a North American region release at this Wednesday (March 5th).

It's a Korean MMO from 2003 so it doesn't demand too much on graphics, but if your card has shader support it will give you some eye candy too.
Note that if your card has less than 32MB of memory, Mabinogi will refuse to run.
Also note that this game will be ran by the same company that runs MapleStory (Nexon America).

Having said that, you will notice the game is unlike anything you have played before:
There are no such thing as "class" in mabinogi. In fact, magician-warriors are very popular.

The battle of Mabinogi requires you to pay attention to the action. You will need to use muitlple skills in a combo to defeat an enemy.

You can play your own music in game (as long as your perfomance doesn't got covered by the noise that is 10 people playing Naruto OST around you).

(Need to check this post for possible forum rule violation)

That, or you can always wait for Battlefield: Heroes. It's free, cartoony, and pretty simple. You'll have to wait some time though.

I guess Silkroad would be something if your desperate and have no other choice. It kept me entertained for a week or so. If they make a MMORPG it would be nice if had the Oblivion fighting system, where you actually do the work.

Yeah, they should make an Elder Scrolls MMORPG.
It would be awesome, but really laggy.

Also, Battlefield Heroes like Dreams said, should be like TF2.

Oh, I forgot to mention FlyFF. It's a decent game. You get a board or broom that lets you fly around and there's plenty of killing to do. It's another game in a long line of Korean games that focus on the grind.

I saw the trailer for that. It looks really good. It is very different from other WW2 games.

That sounds out like Oblivions Skill system.

Forgive for my ignorance, but what does 4chan mean?

You don't know what 4chan is.
Basically, it's the land of Anonymous.
If you've heard of Anonymous, they are legion.
They Do Not Forgive.
They Do Not Forget.
Their just a bunch of jerks and idiots.

I don't know, but what I know is that its already such an influence, that kids are stealing money from their parents to get pixelated clothing. Don't download MapleStory. It's not worth the time.

I'm trying to explain what 4chan is, but I can only think of semi-horrible motivators... what was that link to put before something of Mature content?
