Whats interesting is to read what reactions people have had about StarCraft 2 everywhere. The game looks very similar to its predecessor but still no one thinks "Its a ripoff with new graphics". Just proves how successfull StarCraft really has been.

Personally I'm really looking forward to this game.

Is it too much to ask, beg, and plead for a decent unit balance this time though? I know, it sounds like a lot, but I'd like to be able to have a prayer of winning a multiplayer game that lasts longer than ten minutes and still play as a unique and interesting side.

Definitely want to check this one out, hadn't really gotten into StarCraft but heard many great reviews, though I'll probably just give in and buy the first one beforehand so I can understand it better. Looks good from what I'm seeing in the game play vids and screen shots.

Screams of Joy can still be heard emanating from Korea.

EDIT: Seems relevant, in the very least.

I always thought it was very well balanced. It's that balance that made it so popular in the first place.

No race is particularly more powerful than another. It just depends on the speed at which the player builds and produces units.

Besides, do you really think your opponents want to let you build up before they attack? No; they're going to want to wipe you out before you get a chance to take them out. Your only hope is to beat them to the punch.

Meh, I didn't really like Starcraft. Now if it was Diablo 3, that would be something to celebrate.

Personally, I kinda liked Starcraft, but was more into Warcraft and Diablo then it [Medieval stuff rocks!]

But I'm kinda glad they are giving the people what they want.. What they truely want after screwing them over with "SC:Ghost".

Also, I doubt we will EVER see another Diablo game. Diablo 2 was perfection at best and plus too... Who are you going to face at Endgame? the 3 brothers.. YET AGAIN!? D: I don't think so.

Plus what I'm really excited for in SC2 is the Protross/Zerg hybrid's they mentioned in that secret mission in the SC Expansion :o

I don't know if it was there in the first (there might have been a set-your-own, but not a calculation system), and I'm probably not going to purchase the new one, but I would love to see a handicap system implemented, like in golf. Golf is popular because any two people can have a competitive game, as it is more technique than athletic, but still involves athletic, and it has a handicap system to partially equal out skill differences.
