OK, this thread is devoted to the worst piece of equipment that you've ever seen, in D&D, or a video game, whichever you want. Any equipment is fine, be it weapons, helmets, armor, accessory, anything!

Mine would probably be the Boots of Dancing, from D&D. These are cursed boots that function perfectly normally, until you try to run from combat. The moment you try to run from battle, they force you to start dancing.

Worse piece of equipment: Hmmm... Damn NGV that don't work properly, you know the ones that just turn the whole world green but don't actually help you see where you are going and then restrict you view to boot! (The Hitman series still hasn’t fixed this!)

Followed closely be the knife from RE, RE2, and RE3, That couldn't have been more useless if it tried, and can someone explain to me why it took up as much room as the shotgun in the inventory?!

Best piece of equipment: The cardboard box from the MGS series, just a classic.

Followed closely by the riot shield from Urban Chaos: Riot Response, Ok it may have come off the back of a Time Crisis supply lorry, but it is the most useful piece of equipment any game hands out.

I'd say the Goblin Rocket Boots from WoW. I never used them myself but I sold a few and one of my customers told me they had exploded on first try. He felt quite ripped off and I can't blame him. I can't say I feel very sorry for him though as he deliberately tried to rip me off before complaining about the boots. He should have known the risk he was taking. What can we learn from this story? Well, maybe that all the stupid warning labels around us are there for a good reason. :P

This is gonna sound a little out there, but Ill say the N-Kai Armlet you find in Kuja's palace in FFIX. It takes away ALL magical defense and evade, which is absolutely horrible for that game.
