Figures that, once again, 90% of the songs on the list I'm unfamiliar with. But on a plus not, STEELY DAN!!!! YESSSS!!!!!!
But on a minus note, NOT ANOTHER BEASTEY BOYS!!! D'ARRGH!!!

And @ Linkin Park and R.E.M., they could have picked a better song. It's like what they did with RHCP on gh3. Idiots...

Yeah, they could have picked about a hundred better songs by them. I would have liked to see fourtune faded on there.
And I wish they had put "Reelin' in the years" instead of "Do it again" for Steely Dan. It's as if they're more interested in the songs popularity and not the guitar awesomeness.

Well, they did throw in the full band dealie. Half the reason I was opposed to them in the first place was their affect on the setlist.

Needs more good music </elitist>

The only actual challenging songs on there are Satch Boogie and Ramblin' man. GH will maim Crazy Train by making the solo seem impossible.

Needs more Eric Johnson, Eric Clapton, Sonata Arctica, and SRV, but then again that would just inspire legions of so called "fans".

</actual guitarist's mandatory dislike of GH>

Aw, p'shaw. Sure, it makes guitarists seem cheap, but in truth it minimizes the amount of competition from other real guitarists because of the amount of morons who pick up a real guitar after playing gh and realize how hard it is. And it's pretty fun.

I dislike the GH series solely (aside from the part where I suck at it) because in about five or six installments, they have yet to get some decent metal in there (Through the Fire and Flames doesn't count because after the intro, it ceases to be music). Until they put in some Sonata Arctica, Stratovarious, Kamelot, or a Dragonforce song that isn't balls, I cannot respect the game at all.

I think it's horribly boring, but if you play the real thing you'd understand why. Theres nothing like playing your favorite songs than busting out the most kick [censored] improvised solo, but you are right about the people who pick it up, than leave.

Whats the #1 thing a guitarist hates?

Other guitarists. Plain and simple truth. I can't stand the way my friends play guitar.

Well, I play bass, and to me almost all guitarists are annoying. Usually they're high on themselves, self important if you will. But who do they turn to when they don't know a note or forget a chord? Me! Huhh... And yes, GH doesn't let you improvise at all, which is actually highly important, I've found.

Spike also plays guitar, and I'm wondering if he's intentionally avoiding this thread for some reason...

The thought occurred to me that I probably won't be able to play anyone here who gets the game, as I'm getting the Wii version (only current-gen console I have T_T).
Does anyone have a scorehero? >____>

I only noticed a few bands from the list. And im saddened that so little songs i like are in this game. I prefer GH 3 sadly.

My Yay List:

System Of a Down - B.Y.O.B ( Pure awsome)
Blink - 182 -Damn It
Bullet For My Vallentine - Scream, Aim, Fire.
Lost Prophets - Rooftops
Linkin Park - What Ive Done.

And where can i find the downloadable content list? Or have they not released it yet?

Where's Avenged Sevenfold?!?
Or Disturbed!!
