First off, this is something I've been writing on and off for a quite while now, so the style may be inconsistent. It's a sci-fi/fantasy/action where the world is at war based on differing races (and no, I started this before I'd even heard of twokinds so I'm not ripping it off in any way...I hope). If you don't want to read all of it, or just want a taster, the first (and smallest) part is as follows:

The Fight for Freedom.
A horde of mindless drones oppose me and all that I stand for. I’m just a lone warrior, trying to find my way back to the resistance base. I don’t like having to fight just to uphold justice, but it is something I have to do. As long as the corrupt government of Neo Babylon oppose us and brainwash the people of the world, we have no choice. We, the resistance, fight against the Neo Babylonian government, in a desperate attempt to free the people from the prison of an empire they have yet to realise they are trapped in. We fight against those who discriminate us, simply because we are different. We don’t know what the year is anymore, our history records have been lost, and the remainder of the human population has been semi-brainwashed by an evil tyrant who claims to be the saviour of humanity.

The year is 24XX, and war has erased almost all humans off the planet. The only ones left reside in the so-called “paradise” of Neo Babylon. Few realise they have been deceived and even less care. They hate us, they hate all of us.

I probably should explain better: Around about 2200, advanced technology created artificial humans known as “Reploids”. Reploids were robots, but they acted human, bled, ate, slept and had feelings. They were able to work along side humanity in harmony. By 2250, many humans and Reploids had evolved, becoming “Anthropomorphs” or “Anthros”. Anthros are best described as humanoid animals or humans with animal characteristics. Anthros gained superior physical abilities and learnt how to manipulate energy for their own will. Wars broke out and many Humans and Reploids fought against Anthros and some of the Reploids. Eventually a Reploid named “Xan” took over and forced Humanity to believe that he was there saviour. Many Reploids like Xan pretend to be true humans and live a life of corruption. Xan ordered for all Anthros and Reploids to be destroyed. Only a few humans are in the resistance, and they generally don’t go into battle as they are inferior to Anthros and Reploids in terms of battle. Xan created a new type of Reploid, ones who are mindless drones who are excellent in war and only obey his orders. As long as Xan lives, freedom shall never be granted and the humans shall never awaken from their false paradise.

I slash a light blue Reploid in front of me, swinging my over-sided Katana, Crimson Shinigami, the giant blade slashing through the army like a hot knife through butter. The harsh reality of my peril bringing me back into reality. I was stuck in an uncharted desert, desperately fighting for my life and my freedom.

My name is Hokaze No Flames, but everyone calls me Flames. I’m an Anthro warrior who fights with the resistance and is one of the resistance's elite "Warriors". I won’t say what type of Anthro I am, tiger or wolf or whatever. I don’t know what I am. I don’t recall ever calling myself a hero, yet I am told that I am a hero by both my allies and my enemies. I don’t recall ever caring about justice until this began. All I know is one thing:

“I won’t hesitate…If an enemy appears before me, I’ll destroy it, even if it costs me my life!”

If I live by this freedom shall be achieved! I’m bleeding badly and all my weapons are damaged. I’m in an unknown location with several thousand droids closing in on me. I place my shattered Crimson Shinigami into the sand and remove my cracked helmet, letting my long, orange spines fall down. I draw my favourite and last weapon, my legendary X-Sabre, as I rush into the on-coming army, without the slightest bit of regret on my face. If I die for the freedom of my people, I will die happy…

My answer still hasn’t changed:
