The world is thrown into chaos, the world of Sephir the world is becoming a barren wasteland. There is no war but a slaughter. The natural beauty of the world is gone, deserts seemed untouched but those were a doomed terrain to begin with.
The vampire king Adalante is the over viewer of this. King Adalante had a son, his heir to the throne to rule of Sephir to lead it to a golden age of prosperity, but his life was shortly lived. It all started when he fell in love.

Prince Calif was a prince and a general of a magnificent army, he was the protector of the land, recently demonic rogues have been threatening the land, and Calif went to solve the problem.
On his return a large celebration was held in his honor, there he met a beautiful woman, her name was Kalila she was a werewolf. She and the prince became inseparable race meant no difference to them.
Calif, patrolling the streets one night was ambushed by assassins. He defeated them all but at the cost of being poisoned by a dagger in his shoulder. He was treated by a good friend of his, werewolf of origin and very good in the fields of medicine and combat. The medicine he had been taking did help but what he had been taking it with him concerned his friend, it was a sleeping potion. This raised suspicion to his friend but Calif gave him no heed, instead Calif went to prove him wrong. The suspicion was right; Kalila had been having an affair while he had been recuperating. He slaughtered the men she was with, Kalila only stared at him. “Kill me…” the prince declined. How could he? Kalila was the person he loved dearly, he couldn’t do it. Instead he banished her to roam Sephir and never to return to his kingdom. Shortly after her departure Calif killed himself. Adalante, the king, blinded by rage and hatred ordered the guards to hunt for the werewolves. Whom he thought was the cause for his son’s death.

Several years passed and the slaughter of werewolves still continues it has advanced to concentration camps. More than 78% of the population was murdered. There is no hope as to which this blood reign will end.

Hope hangs by a very thin thread.

Chapter 1
Nightfall

It was raining. In a dark forest out side of the major cities of Sephir thunder broke the silence and lightning shattered the darkness. Close to the Castle of Adalante quickened footsteps could be heard. Children cried and scream, quickly silenced by an unknown entity. Vampire guards were pillaging their own town, for Werewolves. The race itself was a disgrace.
"My lord, your forces are on the march..." spoke a messenger. Adalante adjusted his seat on his throne.
"Good." he smiled. It gave chills to the messenger in his presence. Adalante stood; the messenger quickly dropped to his knees and bowed his head. "Tell the General to continue is march outside the city." he ordered. The messenger nodded his head, bowing again, he got up to send his message as soon as he reached the archway Adalante spoke again, "And to kill anyone who gets in their way." the messenger left with acknowledgment.
"By your word..." he said and left. Adalante sat back on his throne; he grabbed his cup on a nearby table.
"Then the hunt is on... Run you mangy mutts." he cackled at his own joke and took a drink from his blood stained cup.

***
A hooded man was running through the main street, his footsteps paced along the pavement occasionally landing in a puddle. He darted into an alley way, he was breathing hard. He sidled to the corner he went back out of sight. He looked at his arm, it was wounded, it was deep but it wasn't fatal. He stared at it, waiting for something. The wound started to heal until it became a scar. He brushed off the dried blood and looked back at the main street. He saw a squad of soldiers go through a building, he stared trying not to be seen. They came back out with a child and threw him on the ground; he was quivering, possibly crying too.
"Are you one of them?!" yelled the officer, the boy didn't move he was still in shock. The officer lost what very little patience he had and grabbed his collar to expose his naked neck. He leaned in quickly and bit him violently. The man in the alleyway's eyes widened from shock,
'He didn't even give him a-' the man thought but was stopped. The child screamed and thrashed trying to break free. The officer bit down again, the boy lay motionless in the air as blood dripped to the ground and was washed away with the current from the rain to the gutter. The man was trembling; he wanted to just kill them for what they did. He took one step and stopped. 'Be smart... If you leave now you'll be able to prevent this in the future.' he turned around, there was another scream that was cut off into silence. He winced he lowered his head and started to run towards the front gates.

He must have run for an hour, at least that’s what it felt like. Ever since Calif died things have went from bad to worse, to horrible. Buildings were caught on fire and falling apart, probably with more victims inside. He continued to the front gate biting his lower lip, this was too much. When he finally reached the front gates, it was opened. He looked to the sentinel post, the lock was melted.
‘Someone’s here’ he thought. He removed his hood revealing his black grey hair, it was spiked. He lifted his arm over and pulled out a lock of hair from under his clothes and let it out. It trailed down to his mid back. His hooded trench coat opened showing his simple pants, shirts and shoes. He wore three belts at the waist, two trailed down and connected to his pants. He looked at the road leading out of the castle town, but someone was in the middle of the road he stopped. It was a girl, her face was open and innocent, and her demeanor frightened.
“Oh please, help me! They took my son away!" She said through muffled sobs.
The rain dripped down her face and trickled off of her hair reddish brown hair. "You're not one of those ruthless vampires are you?" She said with wide and hopeful hazel eyes. She was human and very beautiful but her presence gave her away.
“Your son is already dead..." he said, staying on his toes. Most too all the humans left Adalante’s kingdom, there was another scent, much similar to hers was close by but out of sight. Why would a human care about this? It only concerns Lycans and blood thieves. Unless... "Who are you?" he said cautiously taking a step back. His hand extended to his side. he was looking around to see if vampires were near or to find that other human, His eyes returned to the girl. She wasn’t answering, she just stared at him. "Answer me!" he barked. His fangs where showing. He was taken aback at his rage; he quickly shrunk his canines and remained fixated on the girl. The girl just gave an aggravated cough when he warily asked who she was,
"Either I need to practice my act more or you're a sharp one. I thought I had you going for a second. Don't think I did not see you taking scents, though, and the fangs gave you away too."
She motioned to an alley way, and a man came out of the alleyway. The man was tall, his face was soft like a model and his hair was curly. Come to think of it he looked remarkably similar to this girl, good chance they were siblings. The rain was letting up, but the fires in the city continued to burn. "Just stay out of our way, were-beast, and we'll take care of the vampires." The girl said as she walked forward. The brother put a hand on her shoulder to stop her, "Thelema, he might be able to aid us. We do need more allies or we will never take down our main mark."
Thelema just tilted her head to her brother, "It looked to me like he was running away, Alvero. How could he help us when he's escaping?" Thelema said with a slight challenge entering. The werewolf just stared at them and concluded that they were definitely siblings. There was a pause as the siblings argued, the man tried to sneak past them to leave this god forsaken city.

There was a rumble coming from on top of the buildings nearby. Although they weren’t on fire the surrounding area did not mean that it was poorly built. With a quick sweep a small man leaped from a rooftop where he had been awaiting for the other were. Stalking forward his vivid green eyes lit up against the grim surroundings as he stared at the two humans arguing. Walking up to him he grabbed his shoulder roughly. The taller man did not turn to him he kept his eyes on the humans. The small one leaned forward and whispered in the native tongue of Lycans, "Why waste your time with the herd Hallik? When the predators await us so close by to be hunted. We can't spare time our people are being murdered as we speak! Waste not words on these pitiful beings. The small man looked back at the humans he let a low growl escaped his throat. Hallik put his arms in front of him. The small man snarled one last time and ran over to the shadows just in time before he doubled over grasping his chest in agony. During the moments of his pain the bones in his body reshaped themselves until he was a small black wolf. Walking out of the shadows once more the black wolf turned to Hallik once.
“Where is Senix? I thought he was with you." Said the wolf. Hallik was the only one that could understand him, it was his language himself. He was awaiting some sort of recognition from his friend to leave. Hallik acknowledged this and he gave a quick glance to the humans.
“Don’t go after Adalante…” said Hallik in the common tongue, “Luna watch over you.” He looked back at the wolf and nodded. Hallik’s bones started to break and shrink as he became a wolf himself, only much bigger than his companion. As a wolf Hallik was 5 feet tall, covered in black grey hair that started to moisten with the tiny droplets of rain. “Let’s go.” He said to his friend, he let out a howl and bolted past the humans into the forest off the road.

The tiny wolf followed closely behind Hallik as he saw a familiar figure come into view. Smirking at his comrade standing out in the midnight rain with his blue eyes. The figure quickly became a small black fox the same size as him and ran along side the black wolf. The surrounding forest gave good camouflage from the city as they passed trees covered in vines and mud from the rain. The small wolf nudged him on the side speaking in his native tongue still.
"What's the matter Senix are you getting old or something? Come on you can't be as old Hallik is so how is he constantly beating you now?" Keeping pace with the two he looked down annoyed at the small strip of gauze that clung to his back from the rain.
“Old?! Either way you should respect your elders Nykael!” said Senix running next to the black wolf. Nykael grabbed the cloth that was attached to his back with his teeth and with a flip of his head sent the strip flying off into the air.
"Well that was interesting to meet some humans who aren't selling out our kind just to keep their pitiful lives.” Said Nykael panting, “I mean to them Hallik is near death! That's kind of a laugh to me but it still complicates things.” He stopped, the others did the same. “All humans think about is their own skin. I've even of them selling out their own family for survival..." Nykael was cut off from an explosion that came from behind them. Debris flew into the air, some looking like black dolls, including trees from the forest outside of the gates. They were being followed. Hallik turned around quickly.
"They're coming for us." He said, sopping in silence as they heard the blast go off at the city.
"How are they tracking us so easily?” asked Nykael, “Did either of you see who's commanding that unit?" Looking around wide eyed he stepped lightly on the ground as if scared that something would grab his paw if he stepped too heavily. Hallik thought as Nykael slowly walked away. He looked to Nykael.
“Corition.” He said, “he’s their track master, a hunter if you will.” Hallik took a deep breath. Staying in a group at this time was dangerous. To be unseen stay small, Nykael had that covered but still. He looked around for a solution, they were out of the forest and the mud beneath their paws became gravel, they were very close to a gorge. He started to pace looking at the valley below. He saw a river trickling through the ravine. He suddenly had an idea and he ripped off a small section of fur with his teeth and placed it on the ground and looked to the others. “Give me a piece of your fur, both of you.” Nykael and Senix stared at Hallik like he was insane.
“What’ll that do?” asked Senix in disbelief. Reluctantly he ripped off a patch of fur from his shoulder and put it on the ground next to Hallik’s. Nykael was still watching his footsteps. Barely paying attention. Senix trotted over and ripped off a small patch of fur. Nykael gave out a little yelp and shifted away from Senix. “Suck it up, its just fur.” He barked, “It’ll grow back.” He put Nykael’s fur with his on the ground. Hallik turned back into a human as his bones morphed and grew without breaking the skin when he fully transformed he put on his clothes from the backpack that Nykael was carrying.
“This will distract them.” Said Hallik, “Now listen I want you two to go down to the river and wait there for me.” Hallik picked up the fur and started to spread it around.
“The river?” asked Senix. He thought this over for a moment, “Of course! It will hide our scent!” he started to push Nykael down the hill. Nykael was slow to catch on that they needed to get out of here.
“What about you?” asked Nykael pushing away from Senix. Hallik looked at them and just gave the thumbs up and ran off in a different direction from them. Senix and Nykael watched him run.
“Good luck.” Said Senix, he nudged Nykael forward until he broke out into a run.

The story is readable, but I need to know more before I can pass any judgment or comment.

Can't wait to get more done on this. Things get more exciting later on but I definitely don't want to give anything away.
