I'm not saying I would enjoy it, but I wouldn't hate it either. For me it would be like all my dreams. Really crazy. Actually, that dream makes a lot more sense than most of mine do. Well, don't listen to me. I've never had a dream like that. Crazy stuff, good friendship, rescue, looks like it ended happy enough to me.

And just so you know ahead of time, my being in a horror movie dream actually scared the crap out of me. I think this could also be a mixture with my unable to fall asleep and then having a bad dream dream(Embarassing enough the movie was jeepers creepers which my family barely finds scary). Repeating again glad your over it. Now I have to fall asleep after watching skeleton key *whimpers*.

why would you watch MORE scary movies if your having nightmares of scary movies....... thats just plain stupid.

Plus i remembered a very horrorifing dream i had. it was about my house being robbed and when they noticed me, i ran, but they caught up to me choked me and then stabbed me in the chest. And when i woke up i couldn't breath (the choking) and i actually felt the pain in my chest where they stabbed me. i couldn't stop shaking for hours. i was so horridifyed.........

Exactly 30 days ago is when this dream happened to me. I have gotten over it, and used it to harden myself against further dreams like that one.

For me, the best way to deal with such matters is to bear with them, and let them harden my mind. It may not work for everyone else, but surely, there will be someone out there who it may help.

Dude, you almost got raped by your evil half  . My dark side consumed me once before. A kid at school hit me with his backpack, and I lost it. If the teacher hadn't stopped me, he would probably be dead. From then on, I promised to control myself. I hold my anger and unleash it when it is useful. You might want to do the same, Yash. It will help you avoid more dreams like this.

Okonai, strange things can happen in my mind during my sleep because of my insomnia. While I am awake during hours such as 2:00-4:00 AM, my judgement of situations and my ability to react to things becomes impaired. When I finally do fall asleep on a night that I feel that I cannot, my dreams are almost always out of my control, resulting in me having to endure whatever they put me through.

That's strange- I'm an insomniac too and the last dream I had was at age eleven. I'm fourteen now.

Also- do you get enough exercise? The reason I'm up at 2:17 AM today is because I haven't gone to the gym in two weeks...before then, I was down at 10:00 PM.

Very little, if any, unless you count all of the walking I do at school. Your reasoning sounds correct, but bear in mind that I've also been diagnosed with a sleeping disorder inherited from my mother.

Wow. Freaky. I can't say I've ever had a dream as scary as that one.
I have had a few really vivid dreams over the years that I still remember perfectly to this day. Not nightmares or anything. I just find it wierd that they're so vivid in my mind.

Here's one example:
After playing Breath of Fire 2 all day, I had this dream.

The setting: It's night, raining, and I'm walking along the sidewalk leading to an intersection in the town I'm living in at the time (I've sinced moved to a different town, completely unrelated). I have no idea why I'm walking along, I just am. I'm wearing nothing but pants and shoes, and have huge white wings sprouting from my back, like the Windians in Breath of Fire 2. I get to the intersection, and I wait for the signal to change. I'm waiting along with a little girl (looked to be about 4 or 5) with her mother. I look down at the girl and wave politely, but she just clings closer to her mom, scared. I'm a bit dissapointed by this, but I'm not really surprised, considering the wings and all. Then, from across the street, I hear someone shout (in a voice identical to one of Pegasus's henchmen from the Yu-Gi-Oh! cartoon, strangely), "Get him! Those wings are valuable!" So naturally, I run. (They're ^that way, I run <that way, looking from where I approached from.) Naturally, since I didn't wait for the light, I almost get hit by a car, but they stopped in time. After running for a few seconds, I remember the wings, and try to take off, but a combination of not really knowing how to use the wings (or really even move them - I imagine aquiring new body parts is a strange experience), and the facts that they're waterlogged (it's raining, remember) keeps me from getting airborne. Then, that's where the dream ends.

It's weird how well I can remember this story: It happened at least 2 years ago.

You are partially correct Shoyru. The wolf woman's personality came directly from within my mind. Everything I did not want her to do or act like happened anyway, and the more I feared her actions, the worse they became.

The Character became a mirror of the darkeness within you. Facinating.
Looking for a better word.

Not entirely the same but what is ever normal in the realm of dreams?

I do know that I have had terrible nightmares before but the memories of them never stay with me for any longer than a day at most. Normally I forget within minutes of waking up. Even from so called "Lucid" dreams of which I know I've atleast two within the past five years.

woah...
I've heard some pretty disturbing dreams but this one...
that was even worse than the one I had when a gunman came into a school and killed allthe teachers and kids, even himself. the worst part was, I saw my dream again. on the news the very next day.
if you ask me, this dream may have come from a combination of lack of sleep, lack of control in your life, lack of stability ad security and maybe a bit too much animal manga. join a club/sport team or learn to play an instrument, get some exersise and get control. I expect that you will meet this wolf-girl again in a dream. but try to change it. take control. maybe even apologise. who knows, this dream may even be your subconcious trying to help you.

Please don't necropost, this topic is far past its date of posting time. Please try not to make the same mistake again. Thanks. :)

Necroposting!

Although not without reason.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Yash. It was very interesting. However, I fail to see how it was a nightmare, frightening, evil, or scarring.

REM sleep would explain the paralysis and sexual content, and imbalances of chemicals in the brain might explain the negative emotional response.

What about it made it so bad?

As I had said in the opening post;

Quote:
I don't expect anyone to understand why I reacted in the way I did during the dream,

You fall under that category.

My reasoning for the nightmare affecting me in such a way is not to be posted in public. However, I can say that my state of mind towards it has changed, and should this nightmare somehow happen again, my reactions and actions would be different.
