i need some help with a kind of drawing inspiration cross over... i need to combine these couple of characters and i may need some help, but just some tips, suggestions snd stuff like that.

the characters are:
Image Ino Yamanaka(Naruto)
Image Bridget(guilty gear)
ImageChomesuke(D.gray man)
Image Sei(burst angel)
Imagelunamaria Hawk(gundam seed destiny)
Image millia rage(guilty gear)
Image dizzy(guilty gear)
Image Michelle zen
Image Avril Lavigne
Image Flora
Image Kagura(azumanga Daioh)
Image Makie sasaki(negima)

i know, sorry for the really long post. the reason for all this is that all of these are my favourite anime characters(avril's an exception...). there's a certain element of each of them that i really like, biggest right now being ino yamanaka. actually, i want to use all of them to recreate a new michelle zen that i know i will come to love and be proud of. sooo.... help please? of course, when i recreate michelle, she'll be original enough for me to call my own, i'll make very sure of that.

One of these things is not like the others!
One of these girls is male!

Couldn't resist, sorry.

Honestly, that's a lot of characters to combine. I'd say pick your favourite 2-4 and use them.
My suggestion: Ino (Clothes, mostly) + Millia (Her hair is made of awesome) + Lunamaria (Eyes; maybe a little red in her hair).

don't remind me of bridget... i know i know, she's a guy, but i'd like to think that the creator drew a girl and decided to call her a guy. it's only through words, but if you look through drawing the drawing only, she's a girl.

although blue's my favourite colour and it's always been michelle's theme colour, i think i can mix it with others. but michelle's main power is still ice and water.

This is a horrible way of coming up with a new look for your character- you shouldnt try combining a bunch of characters togeather- its hard enough combining 3 characters into one- but 12 - you are insane. You would have to pick things apart completely and choose what things you like about each- and you would have to be super specific.

Just work out the main things.
For your physical features you have to think Height, weight, form (Human, human-esque, furry etc), eyes (their standard shape - big cute eyes- small peicing eyes - Bridget - for example- has big cute eyes- while Sei has the peircing eyes- which is common for silent strong type characters- big cute eyes are for energetic young characters, and a mix between the two is your average character that can be whatever they want depending on the rest of their figure and personality). Hair style in anime is VERY important- its usually one of the key "This character is so and so" - which is another reason a character changing their hair style in an anime is normally a big deal, excluding when they just wear it different at night or in a formal setting. Then there is the ever important breast size, body build (thin, light muscular, muscular, heavy muscular, natural (not fat- not skinny- not muscular- Yomi from Azumanga is a good example- shes not fat but shes not super thin or athletic), chubby, and fat- which are pretty much non-existant in anime with the exception of non standard characters or the "geek/otaku" type, skin/fur color - body designs (stripes, tatoos, birthmarks) and finally use their personality to figure out their clothing choices, most people design a basic casual wear, dress wear, hobby/ activity wear (Swim suit, gym clothes, school clothes), and night wear.

okok... you have a point, i'll drop the idea... btw, is there tips on how to do shadows, i can't visualize where they'll go.

... but it would be quite fun if i could put all those characters together... ahh... but nvm.

wait wait wait.. there is an element of each want to extract to put in michelle, it need not be appearance-wise only. maybe i can drop a few, but i'm keeping kagura, flora, bridget and ino. it's not plainly about importing the looks or chlothes they have, but it's about finding their attractiveness factor and portraying it in an original style. the main things want are kagura's tomboyishness, ino's spunk(or that's what i can percieve from some youtube videos...), bridget's childish innocence and flora's unresistable cuteness.

so now the question is: how to portray a tigergirl in such a way that in one look, you can tell she's an innocent tomboy who spunky yet kitten adorable? yeah, i've been told that i'm just plain stubborn and argumentative. if i see that there's really big resistance to the idea or if it's too difficult, i'll drop it and stick to my original modified MZ. she'll still be playing a guitar though. she's always been like that from the start.

Dont drop it, do what others said- not as many people. I for one can call a character cool/cute by just the hair alone.

Go for it! But stick to a few important details for now.

Bridgets creator was oviously very disturb[ed/ing] at point of creation. (Much like Blaze...)

Hey MZ? You plan to upload drawings of Michelle to your DA once you decide n draw em? Cause I think if you want opinions on good ideas for clothing or such...more then face is needed as an example...
BUt yeah. Combining a ton of characters can be....bad....
No matter how hard you try, you'll probably copy too much from one character, and not design and change it enough to fit the personality of your character your creating...

Man, that's a lot of characters to smash together. Didn't realize Bridget was a guy, but I do think Sei's boob-harness is a health hazard.

Having never seen Guilty Gear, I had no idea that was a girl. Everyone could darn well turn gay for Bridget.

ok... let's not get off topic here, but i really did fall in love with bridget... i think the term is otaku. the first one i fell for was flora, then michelle zen, then love hina, but i had no idea which character, then bridget, now i'm basically going nuts for ino yamanaka... yeah, my life is hectic.

ok, seeing the opinions, i won't go for it. but after having michelle as she is for so long, despite the fact i've never shown anyone and i also disposed of every drawing of her in a physho incident(don't ask me what it is), i've decided to change her... maybe a ponytail. i'll see what'll happen. i also need to work on the stripe pattern, they need to have a set place.

Suppose we all have our preferences. I tend to gravitate towards more three-dimensional men/women, but hey, you can't deny idealized sexy even if its on paper.
