As to my contribution, I merged two pictures of Trace using his powers :)

why do the scars go through his mask?

She's called the Devil in White for a reason.

gillecomgain was the first hunter he got three slashes across his face then made the mask. his decendants didn't have three slashes across their face (like the guy in red) but still wore the hunters mask.

Here's oldest to newest... I made'em all (with the exception of those two non-furry characters) so it seems to get better in quality as you go down. 8)
