Well, I thought I'd post up my somewhat amature (I know that certain people on this board are in college for this stuff,) 3d model of a space fighter here. Actually, I designed it as a space/atmospheric fighter, with a swing-wing design similar to the F-14 in some ways. Its a never-ending work in progress. Every once in a long while, I spend about 5-10 hours of work on it. Anyhow. http://photobucket.com/albums/v398/Maloo/SAC/

Be sure to check the earlier versions as well, to see where I started, and also to see the wings in the forward position. I forgot to make a render of the new one like that.

...yes, I did play AC4 and AC5.

It's got rocket engines, right? Scramjets would work too. Good low-profile. What are those sticks coming off the tip of the wings?

Either rocket, or something sci-fi ish. The sticks off the ends are a design relic, dating back to my first drawings of it.

It looks really cool, you did a good job on it. Whatever the sticks are I think they make the fighter look futuristic.

"I'm going to collage, I'm going to collage~!" (It's college, collage is one of those cool puting stuff together to make a bigger stuff thing XP)

Well.. I started working on this model... more than two years ago. But don't take that as time spent on it. I've only spent about 30 some hours on it. :P Most of that is redoing stuff as I get ideas for how to do it better, which is why there have been around 5 or 6 versions.

There's new renders in the photobucket album now, under the filenames SAC-WF-V1B2-N*.jpg and SAC-WF-V1B2-D*.jpg

I was fooling around with raytracing (Mirror-type reflections) and skyboxes, and a bit of (crappy) effects. Go check it out. It looks pretty dramatic.

Reminds me of an SR-71 in some shots... and a better looking version of an F-16 (have you ever SEEN the intake on that thing UGLY!)
Would you be able to generate 3-d stuff from crude 2-d renders? Let me know on my guest book and I'll make putting stuff in the album a priority!
Got any WW2 era stuff? *rubs hand together egerly*
