hey, ur pretty good...... how about a battle sometime? xD

anyways, heres wat i gotta say:
- the bg is a bit too monotone, try mixing different shades together for depth
- text is ok, not great
- the stock doesnt blend into the bg that well
- the scnalines are way too dark, lighten them up abit
- the 3px border is crap

my rating: 7/10

Stock does NOT have to blend into the background. Sheesh. That's a preference. You can't grade people based on that lol.

oh yea, sry for the double post. anyways, i noticed how u called it a render. technically, thats a "Stock" not a "Render".

Stock - 2d images, anime, people, etc.

Render - 3d images made in C4D, Apophysis, 3DMS, Alias Maya, etc.

Render is NOT only 3D images-- its taking something and making it 2D-- the process of rendering in things like Maya and MAX is simply taking the 3D objects and making them 2D-- that means anything you draw is RENDERING - and pictures already drawn has been RENDERED.

Stock Refers to a collection of images used in projects much like reference and or an image used in conjuntion with other works other than RENDERING it all yourself.
And like Fox said- thats your opinion-- and that rarely means anything online- and people who do nothing but make sigs and avatars are about as skilled as people who trace artwork :P

hey, im just stating wat ive learned from like wat, 5 different GFX forums? so, if im told by like everyone at each forum that a render is something made in Maya/C4D and a stock is a 2d image, than im ASSUMING they are correct. yea, in C4D when creating the final product, its called rendering.

Well how many of them are college art graduates? Because you RENDER with pencil and paper-- any 2D image has been rendered-- stock is simply rendered images used for whatever purpose-- hardly a good word to use for "forground image" When your drawing a line that you thought of in your head- YOUR RENDERING. Maybe you should stop listening to a bunch of people that dont really know what they are talking about-- or maybe people that took English too-- that usually helps.
Also what your calling Stock is rarely stock in the normal sense- because stock images are often copyright and royalty free images-- and a picture of Sasuke no matter who drew it is not royalty or copyright free.
*Sage goes on a crusade to put an end to these stupid people's lies!*

a couple, anyways, i think that wat ur refering to is wat u may have learned in art. i dunno if u did take art, but in GFX terms, thats wat those two words mean. wat u said was the actual definition of render and stock, but in terms of GFX, wat i said is true. end of discussion. nuff said. >_>

Guess what? It has nothing to do with what GFX says-- they aparently have decided to be idiotic and not use correct words-- Render- BY DEFINITION does NOT mean rendering in 3d using such and such program- and STOCK doesnt mean image used by people who go on message boards- Yes i took art-- but i also took English-- the word RENDER and STOCK have been around LONG before "Al Gore invented the internet". Ive learned that more than half of the people that go around on forums that say "I make avatars and sigs!" are usually kids that learned that they can download photoshop for free and play with stuff- if people want to make up words for what they do they should actually MAKE UP THIER WORDS- not say one thing is something else-- thats like saying "Dude-- here- Cat means Dog and Dog mean Send me Pr0n!"

From Dictionary.com, to end all bickering.

ren·der Pronunciation Key (rndr)
tr.v. ren·dered, ren·der·ing, ren·ders

6. a. To represent in verbal form; depict: “Joyce has attempted... to render... what our participation in life is likeâ€
