What do you think of the new signature I made?

Comments? Questions?

I think...the red is too bright. XD At least around the border. And...the interior...is...too plain? If that's the word I'm looking for...dunno. >.>

Looks really plain and simple. Like Fox said- the red at that contrast is usually a bad idea-- something a little darker is better- looks more professional too- many beginners use high constrast colors because they are easy to select (most color selection screens have them at the top right of the selected color- that means its maximum color value).

ok, im gonna rate this like how i rate most signatures on my other forum.

- bg sucks. too plain, try downloading some brushes and stuff. also, learn to use filters.

- border is ok. theres some creativity in there, but it does not blend with the bg or stock (stock is the pic)

- text is too plain, try using some effects.

- stock is decent, but its better if it was bigger.

- too much empty space.

keep trying tho, everyone is a beginner at everything some point in life.

Hmm... mostly negative responses... Well, just be glad I didn't put up the first version. It was crappy, even compared to this.

I know there's a lot of empty space, mainly because I don't have a lot of stock images to draw from. As for the border color, what do you suggest?

One thing that bothers me though, is that no-one commented on the symbol to the left. I thought that would get a few questions... Guess there's nothing wrong with it then.

Most probably would have no idea if that symbol meant anything or if you just made it up. I personally would have no clue...therefore I can't really comment on it. As for the border color...tone it down. You can still have it red, just either desaturate it some, or make it a darker shade of red.

I made it up. I was staring at a peice of tape stuck to a window and I started peeling it off. But then on a whim, I just randomly put bits and peices of it back and BAM! there's the symbol.

Well, I darkened the red like a few of you suggested, and will be updated once I get to a computer with internet access.

(For those wondering, I'm using a PDA right now to post)

(Sorry for double posting, but I believed it necessary in order to show the update... )

Okay, I darkened the red. How is it now?
