Warning: There is a possibility that the following rants will involve adult content, nothing in this rant is meant as an insult, if for some reason you find it insulting, don't reply, stop reading, and for the love of all that is unholy, don't message me, if you do, I may turn vocally hostile twords you.

That being said, I feel like posting a huge rant bout video games, and other things.

(1st)Video game trailers: The thing that more and more video games seem to be doing with their trailers, that just pisses me off, is they show you a couple of seconds or minutes of one part of the game, and make you believe that it is the whole part of the game, i.e. they show you a whole bunch of footage from the game that is of you, in a ship, generally shooting other things, and then, at the end they say "and that's just the half of it" and then end it... Okay, that always makes me hesitate more to buy that game, because it to me it seems like the flushed out one of the thing about the game really well, and that then they tell you that there is a whole other side to the game that they decided not to show you anything about, which makes me believe that that part of the game is in fact complete and utter crap, and that if I buy the game, I will have to suffer through the crap parts to play the parts i saw in the trailer.

(2nd)Nintendo: ever sense I first got my n64 I've always liked Nintendo, maybe i liked some other systems a little more at the time, however I always heavily enjoyed the gamecube, the n64, and even my original Nintendo wasn't so bad. However, sense I got my wii I have been steadily losing my faith in them. Now, i can completely understand them making more casual games then they have in the past, because they want the DS and the Wii to be a family system, however, as of late i have begun thinking that they are no longer trying to appeal to the hardcore gamer now. For instance, in this article http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=2069 they mentioned that they are going to make the next Legend of Zelda game more accessible ( easier to beat, and play ) and after i played Twilight Princess i have to say, i have enjoyed the LoZ games, and while i know that twilight princess was quite easy for most of those who were big Zelda fan's, or even really moderate fan's, it was around the same difficulty as windwaker, and i know that i must be slightly hypocritical to love windwaker and yet condemn twilight princess for its difficulty. That is an issue i will post later, if people get worked up over it. Now, I had little to no problem with any of the puzzles or, really anything about Twilight Princess, and really the only reason it took me so goddamn long to beat it was, because, it was a really friggen long game, it was a really long, easy game, as long as you have played an older LoZ game, you will have no problem with twilight princess. and you know what, even that is not really that big of a deal, there are other games Nintendo has that i liked, and i enjoyed my wii for a while, i had fun playing no more heroes, guilty gear ( i think thirteen, but there's so many of them, its hard to keep track ), twilight princess was moderately enjoyable, and i had my fling with the smash series. However, whenever i go to buy new games for my wii, i find myself just saving the money for a new xbox360, or hell, even PC game ( by the way, i happen to be craving a level game, if someone knows a great game that you level in that is rare, please rare, because otherwise i might have played it, then please send me the title ). For almost everyone whose a hardcore gamer that looked at Nintendo's e3 conference this year, the highlight of it was the animal crossing. ANIMAL CROSSING, oh, how the mighty have fallen. Now, i did highly enjoy my animal crossing for the DS, in fact, i remember talking to my good friend keldoth_dekel when i first got it years ago, about how i might sow it to my arm, so that i could play it during class.... he slapped me. I know, I know, dead rising is coming to the wii with exclusive content, and there are supposed to be a couple other good games, but there are still so many other options if i give up Nintendo ( at least till they start making games i like again ) that i will still be satisfied.

(3rd)Bill O'Reilly: this man is a very very bad man. Now, I don't believe in thinking someone is bad because of their political views, unless their like, hittler or something, so i respect his views, but this man is beyond belief. Bill O' Reilly invited the son of a 9/11 victim to his show on fox, and then as always started yelling louder than him when the argument started, he does that to make himself feel like he is winning. But not only does that happen, he then publicly disgraces the child like i have never seen before, the child stated that his belief ( i cant remember what it was, and i did not agree with it however...) and Bill then started yelling at, him talking about how he has done more for the families of 9/11 than the kid, and that he was a disgrace to his father and on and on and on. And then, when the, what must have been a twenty year old tried speaking again, HE CUT HIS MIC. and you know what, as messed up as that is, it wasn't just that guy DURING ALMOST EVERY ARGUMENT ON HIS SHOW, HE WILL CUT HIS OPPONENTS MIC TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE HE IS WINNING. there are many many video's on him on youtube, I invite you to watch them. Now, this man probably has a few good things going for him, but really he is in my opinion, a really, really bad man.

(4th)call of duty 4 vs. halo 3: okay, this argument has officially gone from laughable, to [censored] tiring. Now, all you rabid fanboys of EITHER of these games, listen to this. Both of them have unique and incomparable online experiences, both have pluses and minuses about them, in halo, you are far more limited in choices of maps, cod4, everybody who plays you lobs grenades everywhere, so almost half of your deaths are from grenades ( martyrdom is lame ). that's like trying to compare burnout to grand turismo, both are racing games, but their very different.

(5th)Microsoft: Many people have this misconceived notion that Microsoft is a big faceless corporation that just takes your money and doesn't care about its fans. This is completely and utterly wrong, think about it, when Xbox360's first started getting the red ring of death, what did they do. Countless peoples xbox360's warranty's had already expired, and they no doubt thought, along with most of the world that Microsoft would simply not care about them, and hassle anyone who tried getting another xbox360 in exchange for their broken one. But no, instead they willingly fixed your 360 for free, even shipping and handling, and when me and my father got it, not only that but they sent us a replacement when ours wasn't finished withing two weeks, with a month free gold xbox live card and a letter of apology. and on top of that, they also extended the warranty to three years, so that all the people who already had gone beyond the reach of their warranty could still get it fixed for free.

(5th part 2)Corporations: Now, there are some corporations, quite a few actually that are really bad with their customers, and aren't at all fun to deal with, but if you look at them, their all corporations that are in a business no one else is into, or they are the cheapest one in a small field of competitors. Big corporations that have a wide selection of competitors are often, quite nice, easy to deal with, and often caring of the people who are regular with them. Think about it, why do so many people go to Costco, or Safeway now, even though there are little mini marts all around the place, ill tell you why, because Safeway and Kirkland got to the way they are by being the best, not by being moderate, but by making themselves the reputation that helped them in the future. So, i can understand supporting local stores and what not, but don't forget why corporations are corporations.

(6th)Lastly, video game graphics: So many people are obssessed with graphics, and thats good, its given us the graphics we have today, with our newest video game consoles, however, look at how good graphics are now. I know, there is a lot of improvement to still be made, however, think about it, how real do we want our graphics to look, they certainly have a good look now, why do we need to get more realistic. Im all for smoothing out modes, making things seem less jagged, however, we are coming close to the point were video games and interactive movies are going to be the same thing, think about that.

WARNING.... THE FOLLOWING GAME I SHALL POST IS MESSED UP, IT WILL LITTERALLY CAUSE BITS OF YOUR LIFE TO RANDOMLY BE DEVOTED TO IT, DONT READ UNLESS YOU MUST

.....................................last chance to not read.....................................

here are the rules of the game:

the purpose of the game is to not think about the game, do all the things you do in your day, and whenever you remember about the game, you must admit that you thought about it to everyone around you who plays. Then you and the people around you are givin a thirty minute safe time, where you may forget about they game, the game never stops.

okay, now i have ruined parts of your life, if you have questions about the game, you may feel free to message me about it.

..................................end of messed up thing.......................................

1 Videogame trailers: While games used to be an art form, now its just another way to make money. They lure you in with shiny trailers knowing that if you dont like the game, you cant take it back due to most stores having a policy against it.

2, Nintendo: Its suprising how far you can milk an italian plumber, a green-hatted elf, and a barrel-wielding ape. The hardcore gamer has been absorbed into Sony and Microsoft's bloodbaths they call games. This is why all the other gamers have been targeted by nintendo.

3, Bill O'Rilley: Just another old fart spouting crap in the idiot box. Not much else to say.

4, CoD4 vs. Halo 3: Now, despite common belief, Halo 3 will not part the red sea and bring everyone to the promised land. Neither will Halo 4 because it wont me made due to Master chief dying of a heart attack. Despite numerous additions it is still far too close to Halo 2. Not enogh has really changed for me to call it a sequal...more of an expansion pack really.

CoD4 was definately a nice change from all the WWII games and god knows we really needed some more good modern shooters. Battlefield 2 can only last you so long and Battlefield: Bad Company hadn't been made yet.

5, Microsoft: That whole thing was mostly to save face although Bill Gates probably has enough money to buy as many faces as he wants. Heres the thing, it is a heartless corporation. Any money they give to charity is a publicity stunt and a way to get some tax deductions.

6, Corporations: Again, all they want is money. While most corporations started off as an ideal and a wrickety shop, they all eventually evolved into the giants that keep the poor poor and the rich rich.

7, VG Graphics: We've pretty much hit the pinnacle of graphics, that is except for the Sonic series which still seems to be in late PS2 graphics. Since the only way the breasts in DoA: Extreme Beach Volleyball could get better is if they were literally in your face, the game evelopers should now be able to focus more on gameplay.

1. VG trailers: So... You expect them to show you the entire game? Doesn't that take some of the fun out of playing it? And, there are some games that the second half comes after some important story point, and even the gameplay reflects that.

2. Nintendo: The last game I played for Wii was Brawl. The system has about two more games that I'd actually want that are currently out, and they aren't from Nintendo. Although, the DS isn't as bad as the Wii, still a lot of good games out for that.

3. Bill: See, this is something people watch for the spectacle of it all. Like watching a train wreck. You just can't look away.

4. CoD 4 vs. Halo 3: Don't know don't care. Haven't played either.

5. Microsoft: That could be analyzed from a purely business standpoint. If they'd made you go buy a new one because of an error in the machine due to their fault, they would lose a considerable amount of business. Giving you extra for not doing it quickly, is just them trying to save face and make you suck up to 'em.

6. Corp.: Just competition. The more you have, the better you have to be. The less you have, the less you have to spend on stuff like customer service. Like the Time Warner Cable. They had a monopoly (at least around here) for years. Impossible to get ANYTHING out of them. Now it's actually fairly easy, in comparison.

7: Graphics: Why do people even have an obsession with this? Sure, they look great, but now developers have to spend so much time and money on just character modeling, lest they be laughed out of people buying the game, that they can't focus on much else unless they are a big name company. It's only making things worse. I think that good graphics make a good game better, but good graphics do not a game make.

okay, let me start by saying, thank you all for replying, I love looking at other people's opinions and highly enjoy taking everything into consideration and forging new and better opinions in the hot fires of facts ( shut up, its like four thirty in the friggen morning, and i don't wanna go to bed.... I'm tired )

and no, that wasn't my point, what I'm saying is that i don't want games to have trailers out that only show a one part of the game, and then tell you that the rest of the game is there too, if i see a trailer, i don't want it to tell me every detail about the game, just maybe a glimpse of the major parts, so it always seems to me that if there are two major parts to a game, and then they only show you one part too it, it makes me feel like the other part has a big enough possibility of being crap. I think this is more so when they show you one part and its REALLY flushed out, because then it makes me think that the other part cant be good because games are really expensive to make nowadays and most of the games i play aren't always huge games that like, two thirds of the population is going to want. Also, i don't want them to show me every little thing you do in the game, i would just rather them show me a glimpse of all the things in the game that take up, maybe thirty five percent of the game, for instance, if you fly a ship a lot, maybe have a two second scene of your ship flying, and if its combat oriented, have four seconds of game play were you fight, ect. ect.

to your first part... not all video games are only ways to make money, there are still people who make exceptional video games and host them for free, i only know of one i would really recommend, and that is i wanna be the guy, play it on hard mode, you will never forgive me. its a free downloadable sidescroller that is incredibly hard.

to your Nintendo part. i agree, however, you left out a space suit wearing mercenary chick.

to your cod4 statement: honestly, i mean, i know what the Nazi's did was wrong, however, we don't need to kick the Germans in the balls that much, i mean, common, its like every ww2 game we make were just opening that fresh wound and rubbing salt in it.

Seems one of the smart people at Infinity Ward noticed that people were sick of WWII and wanted a version where a tank couldn't be destroyed by a couple grenades lobbed under it. Plus, I'd seen enough of the d-day invasion.

As for samus, she hadn't been milked as much as the others...unles you count in rule #34....god i hate the internet.

Master Cheif didn't die. I played the game and beat it on hard difficulty. At the end of the credits it showed him getting in his little freezer tube.

I don't often watch game trailers because I prefer to read reviews, game descriptions, and look at in-game screenshots.

Nintendo has always been a family gaming company. The reason you find hardcore games on their old systems is the only choices were Nintendo and Genesis and then Sony and Nintendo wanted to OWN all the companies that made games for them.

I don't respect Bill O'Reily's opinion (the jackass) and, frankly, I hate Fox News. News to them is the fashion of the first ladies-to-be and how trustworthy the Presidential-candidates are based on their teeth.

I don't know about Call of Duty but Halo is a [censored] game, period.

Microsoft is, in fact, an evil corporation.

I hate working for Wal-mart because their policy doesn't mean [censored], but as far as savings go they're really the best around.

I can play games that have no graphics at all and enjoy them a lot. Graphics mean nothing to me.

As far as corporations and Microsoft go, I suggest you go read the Consumerist for a few days. After a while you'll be so pissed off that you'll never want to do business with anything other than small businesses ever again. xD

really i watch trailers and then rent games, then if i find the game to be phenomenal, i buy it. I watch trailers because im one of those people who only likes like, three genres, and the rest i either prefer for PC or i just never could get into or sucked at. or both.

I also tend to be more into certain game company's, Currently i love BioWare, Bungie (yes i like halo3, i don't think its the best game in the world, but its a good fps, and bungie is great with their fanbase), Bethesada, and for all time and eternity, Ubisoft.

So i tend to watch see these things when i watch TV. ( not a lot i just watch most of my TV on g4 ). I try not to dig into reviews because half of the time i disagree with it, along with ratings, and i honestly just never think about screenshots. Demo's are awesome, and renting is what i do before i ever buy a game, unless the game is a sequel and i already know I'm gonna love it
( soul calibur 4 anyone ? )

oh, and hey, i would like to restate my bit about microsoft

Microsoft may be a not so nice corporation, and whatever they do may benefit themselves in the long run, however i think that they have done a lot of things that hugely benefit the consumer as well, where there was a hundred other things they could of done, and no one would be surprised if they had that would have benefited them. This is more true for the Xbox, however, they don't sell all pc's directly, most company's build thier own computers and then sell them to you with windows either installed, or a disk of it there, that can only be installed with one computer.
