- It can be either Windows (XP or Vista): Professional, Home.. or any other variant.
- You must have at least 2 wiimotes.

Reason: Gamer statistics for a senior design project

Yes indeed. No bluetooth dongle yet, though, so I haven't gotten to do anything really fun with them.

It is kinda important which bluetooth dongle is used since not all of them can handle two wii-mote connections simultaneously.

The senior design project that I am working on consists of the implementation of Johnny Chung Lee's Wii-mote Head Tracking found here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw.

The end product will be a pseudo VR video game in which I try to prove a quantifiable level of immersion into the game without the need for equipment that is not currently in the marketplace. This will of course not be an open source project, nor will it be for sale or for distribution. If you want more info, check Anakuro.com once the site is up and I will keep a regular post of my development team's progress for your entertainment. Fortunately I am receiving quite a lot of help from Johnny himself since apparently he wants to have a game that implements this amazing discovery.

I have four Wii motes and Vista (the blasted thing). And this looks very interesting...

So you're saying we won't get to even play the demo after you turn in your thesis? Awww. :(

...Nah. But there's another idea, after you get the demo done, find a way to get stuff from a computer to a Wii. Someone may have already done this, and I now sound like an idiot, but I don't really care.

The concept looks really nice, I just hope Nintendo will sell WiiGlasses to go with games like that  Games like that will just be far more realistic and immersive than all the other games.

Before the thesis I will not be allowed to distribute the copy since I am supposed to have a closed development team. This means that I am only allowed to have beta testers for opinion and error checking, not for programming advice or protocol/gameplay changes.

This means that people who are interested in beta testing will be allowed to try out the game under very strict conditions before my thesis. And after my thesis and publishing I will allow mass distribution as a free downloadable game.

Note: once completed there will not be any source code available to make changes. This is only because the game is created with limited licensing ability and I am only allowed to distribute on the terms of educational testing in accordance to my university and Microsoft's Student XNA Developer's Group.

Meh. We can see it when you're done, and that's good enough for me. :) Good luck with it, Kuro. I remember well thesis crunch time. Or at least as well as a person can remember twenty-six hour days. I'm going to assume you're taking the smart way out and getting started early, considering when this topic has appeared.

This sounds rather cool actually. I admit I can't actually help with anything, no Wiimotes you see, But I'm intrigued by the premise. I admit it's a little bit beyond me however, what with me having no technical training or even a cursory understanding of these sorts of things.
