I'm a cat person. I will always have myself a kitty. And for all you nay sayers that say dogs are more loving, my cat follows me pretty much everywhere, comes when I call it, and waits for me to wake up in the morning. :P

TAKE THAT YOU SLOBBERING CANINES!!!

I voted for dogs because nobody else did.
I'll take loyalty over disdain any day.

Wrong. Potatoes are the most obedient.
Not only is it on my table every time I call for it and look for it,
it also rolls over every time I give a command to do so, along with a slight push.
Unlike cats and dogs who take days after days of training,
my potato is able to follow my sit and lie down commands,
and with absolutely no effort whatsoever.
It sleeps anywhere too without complaining, unlike your inferior dogs and cats.
See, much better in every way.

...But seriously, I like cats. I have a small fear for dogs.

My current dog is extremely cat-like. The last dog we had was perhaps the most loving creature I've ever met.

And for cat lovers, I have one problem: allergies. 'Nuff said.
The potato, unfortunately, is waaay to appetizing to live for more than a day or so in my household. Especially with butter, salt, and pepper.

Dogs, becuase they don't run away if you try to pet them and have never met them.

I pity some of you. Every cat I've ever had a hand in raising was one of the sweetest, most genial little things you ever met. Did not run from strangers, and got along with dogs.

Plus, cats have neither an odor or slobber problem, and they can pur.
Their fur is always soft and fluffy, and they don't leave messes if you keep the litter box clean.

Never had one that was aloof, either; Yes, I had codependant cats.

Did have one that would give a dog a run for its money in the noise department though. I named her Adele, for the little penguins (yes, she was tuxey)

and there are treatments for allergies.

I like them both, really...each has its place - if you have an apartment or small house with little property, a cat is ideal: they do well indoors, and if they go outside, they are much more mobile and less likely to cause trouble if they leave your property...

To have a dog, you need to have enough land to let them run around like the spazzes they are...
XD

...and no, I don't even consider little ankle-biter dogs to be an option...
*Shudder*

I Have a cat, she is really nice. She also wakes me up in the morning, and sleeps on the end of my bed every night.

Dogs all the way. Dogs are loyal and great companions. Cats...Could care less about you it seems. They just want their fancy feast, and for you to only pet them when and as long as they seem fit.

However I despise our dogs, all they do is bark and pee in my room, ALL THE TIME ALL DAY LONG EVERY DAY!

Im sorry but I love my cat way too much for my own good. Every time Im home shes always right there. In my lap. Even when I on the computer and am too busy to pet her she just sits next to me. Happy just to be there. The thing is cats are smart, you have to treat them like you would a person or they just don't care.

For every "bad cat" story you hand me, I can hand you three about stupid/demonic/evile dogs.

Purebred or mutts. Both goes

I can also hand you stories about angelic/too smart for their own good mutts.

but still, there's the odor/slobber problem.

Whyyy must they roll in filth (don't answer, I know, it was rhetorical).
