My senior prom was on a boat.

The dance floor had a metal support pole in the middle of it, that looked just like a stripper pole.

I walked in and said "By the end of the night, at least 5 people will have danced on that pole."

I was correct.

I thought he meant, out of five possible awards, he got three of them.

My senior prom was just a formality. From there, everyone just went and got wasted -- which is why I chose not to go. Maybe it was just my school, but the whole prom scene was just kind of gimmicky, something we kept up because we were supposed to.

*Not Going to Prom High five!*

I always despized my school dances. Loud noises and social situations bring out the worst in me. Though I suppose that's one of their main draws. I think I was particuarly unsuited for school dances.

But you seemed to have a good time. Good for you!

Tell me, did you have nothing but obnoxiously loud rap music (and I use that term loosely), or did you have real music?

The Rap music, sweet Odin, the rap music!!

It blared incessantly, barely broken up by some god awful J-pop sort of song. On the few occasions I went to my school dances I had to excuse myself and go outside.

It's bad though, but the louder the music, the more agitated I got. By the end of the night I was usually just a vessel for my uninhibited Id.

I said some very mean things those nights. Some very mean things indeed (Creative though)

Skipped my prom. Not a big fan of the whole event myself. And not to be mean to the women, but those poofy fruit-colored dresses look absolutely horrible. Seriously, they make bets on who will actually buy them.

Though I did go to a pep rally of sorts because they had free pretzels.

A noble endeavor indeed, the acquisition of pretzels.

Pep rallys have always seemed to me a rather fascinating display of human behavior. There is a fervor that is produced, and I am led to believe that it could very well be the sort of hysteria common in certain ecstatic religious rights. At times, I had felt that with a little changing of the content of the rally, I could have convinced the student body to commit murder for me.

Though that is debatable, I went to a rather small school after all, and they make up a hardly ideal sample group.

I personally attended any school sponsored events as it always seemed like school and social lives were different although innately related... in a way....

in any case I never had the experience but congrats all the same :D

I went to Senior Prom. That's it. I have no real stories to tell or experiences to complain about.

I always kinda hated school sponsored events. Kinda wish I'd gone to my friend's anti-prom instead... Oh well. Glad SOME people like this stuff...
