Yeah its creepy. Slow Motion cameras always amaze the crap out of me. Its like seeing into a dimension that we can't see normally. Everything we see seems so simple and plain. But if you slow it down that much, theres incredible things that have always remained invisible.

Reminds me of when a friend of mine got angry at lunch and slammed the table as hard as he could and broke his pinky.

Reminds me when I watched a water balloon being popped in slo mo.

And that water balloon reminded me of what happens when an atom bomb is exploded underground(It looks awesome.)

Brainiac! Great series, that...

After seeing the shock suffered by his fingers and arm, it's amazing that he doesn't have several broken bones...wow...

No matter how silly it actually looks in slow motion (And it does look very silly) The entire thing is a rather impressive feat.

After looking at this you tend to think "oh, well if I just thacked by hand against somthing real hard, it's going to break that thing" And that is true to some extent, but it's your own hand being left intact afterwards that is important.

Choping somthing like that is essentially applying as much force as posible to as little area as possible, much like a chisel and hammer. Though the hand looks absolutely ineffectual, in reality it is providing an essential guide for the force of the blow even after the rest of the hand colapses into the wiggle mass of fat and tissue. If you hold your hand wrong, the force will disapate throughout the object, leaving it unbroken. Worse yet though, the force might rebound into your hand (ouch)

Though I'm not a fan of Karate Chopping for that reason anyway. I've always prefered palm strikes.

Rationality aside though, That was soooo freaky!

High-Speed Cameras rock, but are ridiculously expensive. Sigh.

Oh my god, That hand looked like jello once it hit the bricks. Wonders of the smallest things never ceases to amaze humanity.
