To make a gallon of Citrus cooler; (hey, it's hot down here, who can drink a hot drink on top of that? sheesh)

Approximately two to four cups sugar . (sweeten to your taste)
Add just enough lemon juice to thoroughly moisten all the sugar, and then squeeze out all the juice from two oranges (preferably the thinskinned super sweet "juice" oranges. Slice up one orange, drop the slices in. Add water to top, stir thoroughly, enjoy.

If you are in cold weather area, a wonderful drink is : wassail
I prefer the version without cinnamon, but feel free to season with 2 six inch sticks if you like.

to one gallon of fresh apple cider add: two tablespoons honey
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp clove.
1 tsp allspice
Simmer and stir.
By all means, tweak ingredients until the mix is right for you.

Mixing instructions:

Boil sugar and spices in water, leave in the water for 30 minutes. Strain the spiced water and mix with the wine. Heat slowly until short of boiling temperature. (To remove alcohol, let it boil for a while.) You may add lemon or orange juice to taste. Serve in irish coffee cup.

Drinks for the holidays?

Hmm.

Festive red-and-green margaritas:

Green/Traditional/Lime Margarita
1 Part Triple Sec
1 Part Tequila (rec. Sauza Gold)
2 Parts Lime Juice

1 Lime Squeeze Garnish
Bar Salt

Prepare first one martini or margarita glass. Slide the lime garnish over the circumference, and twist glass in bar salt. Toss components over ice and serve straight up in salted glass. Provide straw.

Red/Strawberry/Frozen Margarita

10 Strawberries
1 Part Tequila (rec. Sauza Gold)
1 Part Triple Sec or Grengala
Crushed Ice

1 Lime Squeeze Garnish
Bar Salt

Blend ice and strawberries together to make a thin base. Prepare one martini or margarita glass. Slide the lime garnish over the circumference, and twist glass in bar salt. Add ice/strawberry mix and strain tequila/triple sec through. Serve cold. Provide straw.
