Well, it's not a total loss yet. You can put a small motor on it (maybe electric, most likely petrol powered), and make yourself a nice little get-around board. Get the brake cables from a bike to give yourself the ability to accelerate via a remote... this could turn into a really fun summer project.

I drive a motorcycle. I guess I feel that the risk factor in getting in a 150mph crash on top of a pile of explosive liquid and dense metal is nothing compared to what would happen if I got in an accident riding a glass skateboard.

GLASS

Nothing like good ol lexan.... It is not a GLASS it is a amorphous plastic that could support maybe 300 pounds in that form. (If it is ~3/4" thick like I think) and it is more or less unbreakable with normal wear and tear.

Acrylic=bad. Less strength and bends much easier.

Ah I missed the polycarbonate part. Thank god. There's something about glass underneath my feet while in motion I don't like.

Hate bikes so no ty.

spike...its a skateboard that my friend custom cut. it ran me 125 but i think it was worth it. and the NOS symbol can be taken for two things. either an energy drink. or a Nitrios oxside company. I love cars and love energy drinks so i thought that would be an awesoem engraving so i got that engraved

dude...... if that board were a human.... it would be do-able....

I like it, but only question is, in order to make it clear, did they have to sacrifice durability?

No. As Mike noted, it's a polycarbonate. I'd be willing to wager that it's more durable than a wood or fiberglass board. Now, it'll show scratches like nobody's business, but that's something that you have to deal with for clear materials.

ok, I see

and a question for speedfreak
does it feel glassy or does it feel like plastic, because if it feels glassy, then that just makes it cooler than it was before, you should look into seeing if they make clear wheels too, so when you ride it, it looks like you're hovering.
