I STILL LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!

It quite probably will forever be my favorite holiday, bar none. I and my friends are dressing up as a coven of witches for the requisite handing out of the candy, while the vampire hubby walks the hooligans around the neighborhood.

I was tempted to do the walkaround this year, but staying with the coven, and scaring the heeholy bejabbers out of munchkins just sounded to great to pass up. |D

and yes, we have *that* house.

Of course, that has nothing on Uncle Chuck's house, gotta share pics of that this year.

Considering the use of "chav", and the spelling of "favourite" and such, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the OP lives on one of those misty islands located off the coast of France...
;3

That Halloween sounds like a complete terror...of course, the more I hear about that part of the world, the more it seems that every young male under the age of 30 over there is either fighting constantly, setting something on fire, or running for their lives...not quite the reserved, proper picture people usually have in mind about that locale...
O.o;

I like Halloween, now that I don't live 20 miles from civilization - it's a townie holiday, to be sure...
XD

I love Halloween. My kid's old enough he might start to have fun with it, now. I get to dress up however I want and not get people calling the cops on me or walking to the other side of the street. That, and it's my Christmas, more or less. My big holiday for the year, when even my anti-alcohol wife is okay with me having a few and just in general getting celebratory.

I've had some pretty funny Halloween experiences. Last year, me and my friends went trick or treating. It wasn't really well planned - we invented the costumes at one of the girl's houses, by basically slathering fake blood all over ourselves. One house we went to was super creepy - church-like, tall ceilings, HUGE, isolated..well, the lady that answered was all smiles. She started talking about how Halloween was Satan's holiday, how we shouldn't be out trick-or-treating, and how we were celebrating evil. Then she started blessing us and calling us beautiful. It was really, really funny to me (props to her for sticking to her beliefs, though, I guess), so I started making that noise you make when you hold back laughter, and my friend who was making the same noise elbowed me really hard..anyways, I'm ranting. As soon as she closed the door, we fled.

Also, the same night, we were staying around, waiting for someone to open their door. Then I realized there was a bowl of candy there, completely full, with a sign that said "OWNERS AREN'T HOME, TAKE CANDY." You guys are gonna KILL me for this, but we basically just dumped the contents of the bowl in our bags and fled. A group of little kids saw us and ran after us, so we ran harder. Later, we ran into them waiting around for a house, and one of the kids pointed at us and yelled "It's them!" Well, we ran like hell again.

This year, I'm probably just going to a party. I have a debate competition that day, and I'll be all worn out come 8 PM. I'm going as Saul from Pineapple Express, heheh..

So You're the ones that did that to our house when I was 10!!!
(Joking, but that did happen to us once.)
This year I really want to go out to our forest and walk around. October is the best month for deciduous tree observations. The colors are stunning.

I'm TOTALLY putting together a V for Vendetta costume this year.... or a Black Mesa security guard costume, with this one I can walk around saying "MMMM candy!" just like the guy from opposing force  . Because I'm one of those nerds you say you hate but inwardly think they have the coolest costume idea ever.

I have always enjoyed Halloween. I sort of outgrew trick-or-treating, but its still kind of nice. I live around where "crime" is almost gibberish, at least around where my neighborhood is, so once you've reached age 8 or so, you can pretty much just chill with your friends with no supervision.

I live on one of those streets where there are like 10 kids max who actually come here, so i usually just stuff my face with all the candy my dad buys as a just-in-case sort of thing. Besides, if i really want a giant bag of candy, i could just come with my parents on the next trip to the grocery store. :P

Ah Halloween. I haven't really gone out for candy since 2001. I went out with friends, but never really cared.

2001 was fun tho...I went out with my older sister and her friends..good times all around..

My sister was dressed as a whore or slut, whichever you find more demeaning.
Her friends really just threw pathwork costumes I don't really remember.
I went with a triple costume on. Outer Layer was a grim reaper robe with pitch black face..next layer was a black robe with one of those masks you squeeze a fake heart and blood poors down. Then finally had vampire makeup on under all of that. With fake blood capsules galore..good times.

Now I stay at home..and when it gets darker out, I switch the fake hanging skeleton for myself with shoes put in the holes in jeans at my knees to make it look like I'm really hanging. A fog machine lets me put a small black platform so I don't really get hung. Scary music going and I'm usually texting or have some hand hold system playing. But when people get near, I put it all down, and as they get closer, the customary screaming and scaring away the little kids and the women. Occasionaly the men..

That's why we always have left over candy...am I evil?

i like halloween because it the perfect time of year to do my "scare the crap out of you while being covered in blood and slashing at you with a machette" prank. :P i love the way people's faces change when i pop out of a bush and scare them.

I like Halloween for the parties. Getting smashed with a bunch of witches and devils is a great experience. I was Jesus last year, this year I think I'm going to be Joe Lieberman, so I can stab every democrat in the back.
